The sander has the power to get the job done. Sanding belt changes are as simple as it gets. My only complaint would the dust collection bag. it functioned well for about 3 cleaning cycles until the plastic zipper that opens the rear of the bag jammed and caused me not to be able to close it properly. The bag now functions again thanks to the addition of some duct tape over the zipper opening so all is not lost.

Sander has decent power and does a fine job of removing material. You need to be careful not to work one spot for long or it will gouge your workpiece (at least with 80 grit). The belt adjustment works pretty well at aligning the belt and stays put. Wish the dust connection fit a shop vac.

Did the job well. Had to use it over my head and weight was an issue, so I was glad it was a lighter sander.I don’t see this brand much but gave it a try because 20+ years ago I bought a WEN 1/2″ elec. drill and it is still my go to heavy duty drill.

I’m not a profesional woodworker but am an avid diy home owner. There are a few projects at hand that would greatly benefit by the addition of belt sanding. I chose the WEN as I saw it delivered most bang for my buck. I would like variable speed but that said i dont see any other option needed in this type of tool. Good tool, great price.
