As far as functionality it works great it sands smooth and even and not to much and the vacuum part works if you have a strong enough vacuum. Only reason it’s 4 not 5 stars is because there is a latch that allows it to break down for easy storage and the latch likes to unhook far to easy. Kind of annoy it not a big issue a simple self tapping screw will fox the problem.

very easy to assemble – slap on a disc and away you go. Im the process of a home remodel. At first it was the pole sander and sweat until this old body cried enough. Utilising the drywall sander made easy work of drywall. For those of you looking to buy – its easier to sand but because the motor is some four feet away from you its like working out with kettle balls. Still my biceps are looking nearly as good as the walls.

This Wen electric drywall sander is so handy, so productive. I’ve had no issues operating it. Seams come out perfectly flat and ready for priming and painting. No seams showing after final painting. The variable speed works just fine. Low speed with a 150-grit to start, then higher speed with 220 for final. The BEST feature is the dust vacuum. With the shop vacuum connected it gets at least 95% of sanding dust. Hardly any goes into the air or on the floor. It’s easy to change sanding disks. It’s easy to set up and adjust the handle length. It’s easy to break down for storage. It’s fairly quiet, like a small palm-sander. I did 240 linear feet of 8-foot high walls with this tool without any issues. I’ve used it for some floor sanding I needed to do. So glad and blessed to have this tool. Yes, I should have bought it sooner! The clasp that others complain about being fragile and breaking is a user problem, not a tool problem. The clasp is meant for holding the parts together. If you force it, you’ll break it. It’s not meant to draw the parts together. A little bit of observation will show how to put this together the first time. Easy to assemble, quite sturdy enough. The vacuum hose is heavy, but extremely flexible, so it doesn’t get in the way of maneuvering the tool while using it. I didn’t have a hose adaptor to fit it onto my shop vac, so just used duct tape and it worked well enough.

It’s too heavy. After a hour of work, shoulders and back are in pain.

Works well, not quite as powerful or light as professional models, but great for occasional user.

Works good but drops dust when turning machine off

Good for painting a house once every few years, but not a tool for frequent use. Mediocre dust removal, poor head balance and poor alignment of the pad. Depot carries the paper and screens in the rentals section. For gloss paint, use coarse screens and light pressure, then fine grit sheets.

The head hops a bit while sanding lids. Slightly heavy, but overall a good looking efficient sander.

This works great and hooks right up to any Shop Vac. If you plan on renting a sander for just a few days, you can grab this and own it for around the same price. I was pleasantly surprised that it came with a replacement set of brushes.

I’ve used all the high dollar sanders and this one may not have the same rpms as some of the others but it works perfect for sanding over primer and sanding new drywall
