This belt sander has saved me so much grueling time and work. I didn’t expect it to be so many leagues above trying to sand with my corded Dremel, but it is. This thing eats through the wood that would take my Dremel hours in literal seconds. I love it and can see it being my main sander for years

Good quality machine, so I’m keeping it. But in hindsight, I’d get the similar Ryobi model for two reasons:1. This Wen model has no dust port, so it throws a lot of mess.2. The Ryobi version is easier to move the table due to tool-less adjustments.

works extremely well for “grinding down woods” to make Lures in this case. very well made…extremely reasonable in price. It’s “kind of” like a ” lathe” My came with 40 grit”cuts” oak fairly fast, pine even faster.

I like the wen 6500 belt sander.I used a very power full belt sander in a steel mill , any grinder will do the job. if you use common seance. do not wear gloves when grinding. belt will grab glove, with your hand in it.always be be cautious, of belt turning. I’m looking forward to buy this wen 6500.
