Remember when you needed a versatile and reliable sander. The WEN Belt Disc Sander easily sands, smooths and removes all of the jagged edges and splinters on your wood and lumber. With a 4.3 Amp 1/2 HP motor, users should anticipate enough power to prevent this machine from bogging down under a large load. Changing the spacious 4 in. x 36 in. belt is a breeze, so you’ll have the power to switch and replace sand paper grits as needed without wasting any time. The belt also tilts anywhere from 0° to 90° to accommodate the needs of your particular workpiece while the heavy cast-iron base prevents vibrations. With all of this in addition to the 6 in. side disc, you’ll have the capacity to sand whatever your heart desires. The sanding disc is accompanied by a sturdy cast-aluminum work table. Included with the belt disc sander is a miter gauge for steady sanding on angled edges, a stop bar for safety and control, and a 2.25 in. dust port to connect a dust extractor. And because this is a WEN Product, your purchase comes backed by a 2-year warranty, a nationwide network of skilled experienced technicians, and a helpful customer service line all to make sure that you remember WEN.

Works great

I researched all makers on this type of product. And the reason I went with WEN is because of the high marks in all other products WEN has on the market at a affordable price for a hobbyist.

This is a handy bench tool to own. It is powerful and not too loud. I mounted it on a mobile work bench and used an old shop vac for dust collection.

If you do not have a bench top sander like this, you are missing out. I’ve used this so many times, way more than I though I would. Just having it out and available for a quick sand on something is great. You can very easily stop the belt if you push too hard with wood, but I would assume that is the same for all of this type of sander, excluding the large commercial units. One thing I’ve noticed is the table for the disc part can, over time, adjust it’s angle due to vibrations from the belt, so just make sure you align that again before using it.

Does what it should. Best deal I could find.

Just received this as a Christmas gift only used it a couple times and so far it does what it’s supposed to do

I picked up my WEN sander and set it up the same day. There were only a couple attachments so it was very simple to set up. The quality of the material seems to be well built and durable for the price that you pay, which is very hard to come by now a days. Overall I am very satisfied so far.

Haven’t used it much yet, but so far I love it.

I knew that a sander would make my small projects easier, but I did not know how easy. This machine lives up to the good reviews I read: I have pushed it hard for a couple months and it only rattles a little so far.

I am a hobbyist wood worker and this sander seems solid and well made

I’ve only had this sander for a month or two. So far it has worked well. I had to modify a couple of bolt holes in the plastic cover that takes the dust to the exhaust. Part of it was too high. Once I did that (it only took about 10 minutes), it has done every job I’ve put to it. It’s a good value for the money.

The sander has worked fine since I purchased it.

The specs says it has more rpm than most brands but it doesn’t seem like it. It also should have more “umph” but bogs down with a little pressure. Disappointed! But it looks and built good. If you want more power I don’t recommend it. I had a skil and it didn’t bog down like this. I hope this helps.
Verona Harber (verified owner) –
So far it has been working very well. I have never owned one of these type machines so I have nothing to compare it to but for my purposes, sharpening drill bits and sanding wood I am very pleased.
Dayne Murray (verified owner) –
Perfect for what I need. Good power, very well put together machine and very good price. I have bought other brands like DeWalt and craftman we’re more expensive and didn’t work half as well as the WEN.

It’s very good

Very similar (almost exactly) like other models from General, Ryobi and others. But this has some manual adjustments not needing tools. Mostly preassembled and well built. Heavy-duty, metal stop for the belt. One drawback: Vacuum port only catches a small part of the dust.

I am very happy with this belt sander. It takes a little bit to make me happy. I was worried about no power. But i would buy it again.
