The ultimate sanding tool for quickly and easily smoothing out arcs, curves, contours and odd shapes. The plates and drums are easy to swap in and out and the lightweight design allows for easy mobility if need be. However, just because the compact design weighs in at a mere 35 lbs. does not mean that we’ve sacrificed power. The WEN Oscillating Spindle Sander features a smooth and quiet 1/2 in. HP 3.5 Amp motor while the sanding spindle moves up to 58 oscillations and 2000 rotations per minute with a 5/8 in. stroke. Our package includes 6 sanding sleeve attachment sizes (1/2 in., 3/4 in., 1 in., 1-1/2 in., 2 in. and 3 in.) to allow for a full range of curves to match whatever the situation calls for. Meanwhile, the onboard storage keeps the spindles, sleeves, table inserts and spindle washers organized and accessible for quick changes. The dust port provides the option to attach dust extractor to collect the airborne dust particles, ensuring a cleaner working surface and shop so you can keep building. And because it’s a WEN Product, our Oscillating Spindle Sander is also backed by a 2-year warranty, a friendly and knowledgeable customer service hotline and a national network of experienced service technicians. Remember WEN.

No problems…does the job. Used approximately eight hours. Sure beats sanding by hand. This sander is indispensable if your in to curved projects.

Another great Wen tool for the shop at a great price.

Appears to be a well made piece of equipment. Heavy duty metal body so it doesn’t move around. So far I have been very happy with the performance of the sander. I had other Wen equipment that I have been very happy with so I did not hesitate on this purchase when a previous sander kicked the bucket.

Did a great job, exactly as I was hoping it would do. Easy to change sleeves, easy to operate, dust port collects almost all dust.

I bought this sander for hobby word-working; this product meets my needs exactly as expected.

The Wen oscillating spindle sander was very easy to set up and use. Only issue I have is as with the dust collection ports that are not standard size for vacuum cleaner hoses. But product the performance is outstanding and out-weighs the issue of adapting dust ports.

My only complaint so far is fixable. The table is pretty rough and firm pressure will scratch soft woods such as pine. So I took my diamond sharpening stone and ran it on the surface until smooth. It feels like its made for the DIY and hobyists rather than for continuous production work. Theres a good variety of diameters that can handle almost anything. I’ve only used pine and mahogany without any problems. Other than that only time will tell if it’s a great product.

I bought this sander last month, and have logged about 20 minutes on it so far. The power seems to be OK, as does the dust control. My biggest complaint is that the table itself isn’t flat. Mine was convex (slopes towards the outside edges). After speaking to a Wen representative (nice lady), we decided it would be best if I returned my sander and bought a replacement. I kept my original sander until the replacement arrived. Sadly, the replacement was no flatter than the sander it was to replace, only this time the table was concave (bowl shaped). So I returned the newer sander and kept the original. Bottom line; This is a poorly made entry level spindle sander. Do not expect perfection at this price point. If I get 5 years of use out of it, it was worth the $138, if not, it’s not. If it has plastic gears as some have reported, it won’t last 5 years.

I don’t know why I hadn’t considered an oscillating drum sander along time ago. It makes quick work of sanding the curves in my projects. Works great.

Works great for a small shop. The onboard storage is great. Wen has the lowest price of the 6 makers selling this exact same sander. Switching drums and plates is very easy. Recommend bolting or clamping the sander down for safety being it is light weight. Removes wood quickly without leaving burn marks. Connecting the dust port to a shopvac or dust collector keeps dust to a minimum. Great sander for the cost.

I finally got to use my sander. It’s cold out in my garage and I Won’t work with gloves on. Today it was 60 so I went out to try out my sander. I’m very pleased with it. It does everything the add said it would and more. A great tool
