With a cutting width of 2-3/8 in. and a maximum cutting depth of 1/16 in. you’ll have the perfect companion for fitting and squaring boards. The 9 positive stops increase in increments of 1/128 in. anywhere from 0 all the way up to 1/16 in. The base plate shoe even includes 2 v-shaped grooves for easily flattening and shaping sharp post corners. The bases kickstand protects both the blade and the work piece in between uses, keeping the blade elevated and out of contact from the surface of your project. Very good planer for the price point. Easily handled leveling some high spots on boards for a deck I’m building. Only downside is the bag gets filled quickly so you have to stop and empty it often. I guess you can remove the bag altogether or hook it up to a vacuum system if you have one.

Received faster than I expected. opened box, plugged in and started using. very impressed with cut. had been using a old sears (20+ years old) liked the ability to change direction of chip exhaust. probably will never use the dust bag since will be used outside. hope it holds up rest of my life. would definitely buy again for the price

This is the first powered planer I have used and purchased. It seemed to work flawlessly for me. The collection bag is deceiving–I thought ir would just fill up gradually and I’d stop and enpty… not so… it fills up FAST and can clog… so, I will use the planer without the collector bag and possibly with a vacuum… Nifty gadget!

Needs work. Both shoes had to be sanded flat. The leveling adjustment for the front shoe is poorly designed & unreliable, needs to be at least 3 set screws. Manual very short on necessary instructions. Loosen end set screws in blade holder or large screws won’t turn. Exhaust port doesn’t fit std home vacuum hose. Needs adapters for inverted table use. Replace BB under orange dial w/ roundhead pin in spring. Otherwise OK. Haven’t used yet.
