Worked good right out of the box. I was able to connect my shop vac to catch the shavings.

This is the first powered planer I have used and purchased. It seemed to work flawlessly for me. The collection bag is deceiving–I thought ir would just fill up gradually and I’d stop and enpty… not so… it fills up FAST and can clog… so, I will use the planer without the collector bag and possibly with a vacuum… Nifty gadget!

This planer is easy to use. I only wish that it came with an attachment for my shop vac. I have tried to find one, but no luck. Have to change the contents of the bag frequently.

For the money this thing is awesome! I used it three times it paid for itself 10 times over! Check out my video on YouTube at High Ridge handyman and check it out in action! Highly recommended I give it 10 stars if it was possible

Excellent choice for home / occasional user. Unbelievable low price for powerful planer, with edging guide, selectable discharge, accurate and easy to adjust depth. Works great!

Give it a 5 star because it’s a very quality piece of tool and does what it’s supposed to. However, we found it a little heavy and too strong for what we planned to use it for. Also, keep in mind that you are to do any planing job going with the veins of the wood. If you try to run across, it won’t come out right.

WEN 3/4 corded hand planner met my need perfectly. The value to cost ratio is very high when compared to hand planner from other competitors. I certainly recommend this tool for small to medium job size.

I am a newbie to planers but this thing impressed me quite a bit. I have nothing else to compare it to in terms of electric planers but I thought it was pretty good.

Inexpensive, good design, easy to use, got the (small) job done no problem.I’m sure I could find a few more things to use it on around here…

Great tool for the value.

I’ve only used it once after a few practice tries and it seems to do what it suppose to do. I’m a self taught beginner wood maker, and this tool seems easy to use. The cost was minimal, so it was worth a shot for me. I still find myself using my handheld planer more than the WEN, but that’s because I have yet to do a major project. I feel good knowing I have this tool. So far highly recommended.

Great for the price! I bought this to shave a bit off some old doors that were sticking. It worked wonderfully on the doors, better than I expected. I have not tried this for planing boards. I bought this primarily for sticking doors and it does the job.

I returned this Wen planer. I found that while planing, I would be inadvertently changing the blade depth because the knob that is on the front of the planer that is to be held onto while planing, can be too easily turned, causing the blade depth to be changed, especially if planing on a vertical surface. They should make it so that the knob has to be pulled up in order to turn it to change the blade depth. Kind of like the opposite of a child proof cap! Otherwise, the planer seemed to be well built, or should I say WEN built!
