Remember when you brought those old jagged boards back to life. The WEN 12.5 in. Benchtop Thickness Planer with Granite Table repurposes rough and worn wood to give it an exceptionally smooth finish. The powerful 15 Amp motor combined with our 2-blade cutting system provides over 17,000 cuts per minute at a 26 ft. per minute feed rate. Plane boards up to 12.5 in. W and 6 in. thick with ease. The smooth granite table never warps and provides precise support to wood passing through the machine. Combine that with the heavy-duty base for a sturdy planer that does not walk or wobble during operation. The handy depth adjustment knob varies each pass to take off anywhere from 0 in. to 3/32 in. The fan-assisted dust port removes chips and sawdust from the workpiece and blasts them out of the way. This package also includes 2 high carbon steel double-edged blades (SK5) along with height-adjustable infeed and outfeed tables that limit snipe while providing extra support to your workpiece during planning. I’m a handyman and this was a decision I made over a long time. I read the reviews on the Wen Planner and made the purchase. Its a good machine but did not give me the finish that was to my standards. I’m going to bite the bullet and get the 3blade planner from DeWalt.

Within minutes I was able to use it. It works very well! It is necessary to have extensions on both ends as there is a slight change in the boards. This is no fault to the machine though. Wen products are good. I own a few. I had trouble 1 time it it was quick and painless fix. I will buy more.Barry

This planer is worth its weight in gold, and that’s saying a lot. Other than heavy, there are no draw backs to this thing. It has upped my game tremendously. Having a workshop with this baby makes a huge difference. I have had it for a couple of months and I have only one slight complaint. It is heavy, but that means that it is built with quality in mind. I also have their bandsaw and drill press. Completely satisfied.

This is a solid product and I tested it in multiple ways. The motor is powerful and the construction is dependable. My only issue with this model is that it is a 2 knife model instead of common standard three and the depth gauge is not always calibrated. It is more than a home owner grade but fall shy for fine finish carpentry.

This unit is a two bladed machine. Three is the norm. Overall good with small passes. This is not an industrial machine but does what I need in my woodshop. Connect a shop vac when using. It makes a ton of shavings!
