Remember when you brought those old jagged boards back to life. The WEN 13 in. 3-Blade Benchtop Thickness Planer repurposes rough and worn wood to give it an exceptionally smooth finish. The powerful 15 Amp motor provides over 25,500 cuts per minute at a 26 ft. per minute feed rate. Plane boards up to 13 in. W and 6 in. T with ease. The onboard planning gage helps inform users about the amount of material being removed during each pass. Combine that with the heavy-duty cast iron base for a sturdy planer that does not walk or wobble during operation. The handy depth adjustment knob varies each pass to take off anywhere from 0 in. to 3/32 in. of an inch. The fan-assisted dust port removes chips and sawdust from the workpiece and blasts them out of the way. This package also includes height-adjustable infeed and outfeed tables to limit snipe while providing extra support to your workpiece during planning. Easily mount the planer to a work surface or stand using the predrilled base holes. Repurpose old wood or make a set of boards flush with the WEN 13 in. 3-Blade Benchtop Thickness Planer. And because its a WEN product, this planer comes backed by a nationwide network of skilled service technicians, a helpful customer support line and a two-year warranty. For the short time I’ve used it, the planer has worked well. You do have to manage the snipe by picking up the board a bit as it feeds in and out, but that is with all of these type planers. Also, if I have my shop vac on when this is on and they are on the same outlet, the planer bogs down and the planer eventually shuts down mid cut. I just have to plug my shop vac into another outlet (circuit).

Worked great right out of the box.

I choose to spend a little more for the 3 blade model and I have been very pleased. I have run several 6/4, 9 inch wide hard maple and 4/4, 8 inch wide cherry boards through it at a quarter turn each pass. It worked great. It even came with reverseable blades.

very easy to set up and use. I believe this 3 blade unit runs and cuts much easier and smoother then the 2 blade units in this category, the few extra dollars for this unit is worth the purchase, this is an excellent machine and easy to store when finished using.

Works very well. I have not used it a lot, but it has worked quite well. The only problem is that the part which hooks up to the shop vac tends to get clogged fairly easily. I especially like the gauge which shows how much is being taken off with each pass.

I received it with no problems and I opened it up n it was so simple to set up. I put some old wood in and a couple of of passes n brand new wood. A great planer.

Overall good machine. I wish it had a bit more power but for the price it has been incredible so far and it has gotten quite a bit of use.

Nice tool ! … Easy to set up and use, and leaves a good finish. Just dont take to much off at once. Also, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND fully reading and ADHERING to the advisement in the manual regarding ONLY cutting boards longer than 14.5″ and NOT planning end or cross grain. I destroyed my blades on some log rounds first time out and had to replace them !

Put it through its paces with some 8/4 mahogany. The surface is much better, as expected for a three-blade machine. Snipe is also reduced to under 2″ with a total loss from both sides of only about 1/128″. The infeed indicator showing thickness removed (approximate) takes some getting used to, but causes no problems. Overall an excellent machine for this price.

Great planer for the price. Well put together, light enough to move around. Noise level is tolerable unless you attempt to plane too much at once. When the job is done, just give it a good blowing off with the air hose. It shipped on time, maybe a day early. Measurement guide easy to figure out. Very happy

Great price and the machine is quality built. Factory installed blades are not the best. I would suggest replacing them.

Works well. Planned black walnut for several hours straight. Dust/ shavings port does clog up so keep an eye on that.
