Sturdy and works well with my Wen thickness planer. Foot pedal is handy to use for moving and then locking table in place. Glad I bought it. Well worth the price and very convenient!

The table works for what it’s intended for, mounting a planer. I put my Ridgid planer on it and had no problems doing so. It’s very stable. My reason for three stars was for the assembly. The unit I received was slightly warped and had two sets of the predrilled holes were missing drilled by 1/8″.

My wife surprised me with this Wen multi purpose planner stand model # 6588. She choose the Wen product because within in the last 6 months I have bought a Wen reciprocating saw and a hand held electric planner. I told her about the high quality and durability of the Wen Brand. So the choice of a Wen product was not unusual. The box the unit came in was damaged, torn and punchered. When I opened the box I was impressed by the packaging that was used,it was very well protected!! This stand is made of heavy guage metal. Where the legs mount to the base there is bracing that is welded. In regards to the material used in the building of this table, the base, the legs and the top, heavy steel was used. This unit is very adequate. You can bolt any power tool that your average home owner or DIYer would have on it. As you put it together, you will find the tolerances are close, allowing for it to fit together tightly. There are plenty of bolts so everything is secure. The metal shelf is approx. 15″ off the ground and is bolted in with 4 bolts. The height of the table is 29 1/2″. This works out ok because if you use it as a utility table to sand on (you can clamp your wood to the table) or work off it, and it is a good height. When you place a planner or table saw, which I do, on this table, then the top of your table saw is at a safe workable height. The table top area is 21″ wide x 24″ deep.It is designed with a multitude of slot openings so as the bolt pattern of your power tool will be adaptable. The unit has 4 screw pads, one at the bottom of each leg, so the unit can be adjusted level. There are 2 wheels at the back and 1 larger wheel in front of the table. The front wheel is on a pedal mechanism, when pressed down, allows you to move the table on it’s wheels.Needless to say… I have really enjoyed using this table!!!

Went together in no time, after reading some of the other reviews, they didn’t follow the instructions, the Important thing leave, all bolts loose, at each step, No adjustments were needed after assembly, I had a stationary stand before and the height of both stands were the same, just had to unbolt my planer and slide it over to the WEN stand, after centering on the stand all the holes lined up, I have a rigid planer,

Easy to assemble and study, does the job and can mount different tools as needed, it just not a quick change but it works.

Worked well for a rigid planer

The legs didn’t line up neatly with the table top. I ended up drilling two new holes to secure the legs. Very stable and the roller brake works excellently

Would have given 5 stars, but bolt was missing and had to go to store and buy a dozen washers to replace missing washers.

A fantastic planer stand, being able to set up multiple types of tools on it, such as various saws, drill presses, and other mountable power tools. I set up my jigsaw with relative ease, and the storage underneath allows some easy extra storage for tool boxes or things you may need for a job. Assembly was simple, with detailed instructions, and they provide most of the tools you need. I believe it took me about half an hour to assemble it fully. It feels exceptionally sturdy, and has wheels on the base for easy transportation. Very satisfied.

Very easy to assemble and very sturdy. Third wheel when retracted keeps cart from rolling around and in place.

The grate as opposed to a wood top is nice because our Rigid Planer was able to fit in one of the many wholes provided and makes for easy cleanup and it’s always great to have something that rolls for easy movement and storage.

good solid stand, but the wheels and lockable swivel wheel could be improved.

TRULY MULTI-PURPOSEStand is fairly well protected for shipping although the legs are packed with no protection between them and there are some scratches and paint chips – see photo The base frame is last to come out of box and is tight. Put a foot in center of foam then pull frame out evenly with 2 hands. The whole table is easy to assemble, especially if you follow their steps. I tried to short-cut and put the shelf on before the top. DUMB. Even though I only made the bolts hand tight it was difficult getting the holes lined up on the top so I used a flat blade screwdriver and twisted to align one set of holes while I inserted the bolt in the adjacent hole – see photo. . They may still be difficult but DO NOT HAMMER THE BOLTS IN. You will only mess up the threads and make life harder. Use a soft mallet on legs to align while pushing bolt in. While 2 people can make assembling easier one can do it. There is no extra hardware so use a container to prevent losing any. I used the cut-off bottom of plastic bottle- see photo. All but the lift wheel bolts are carriage bolts so only one 14 mm wrench or socket is needed except for the lift wheel where an adjustable will work ok. When putting the table top on I inserted a bolt in one corner and a 2nd bolt in the apposite corner just to hold top on, then put on the washers and nuts and the rest of bolts. Table is well engineered. Example; the holes in the legs. They are positioned so you cannot get the legs on backwards. Helpful if you are half asleep putting it together like me.The lift wheel rotates 360 to make maneuvering easy. There are no lock washers at all and I added those to the lift wheel assembly. Mounting planer per instructions should allow a fair amount of push pressure without stand moving on you. The shelf is flat so things on it can vibrate off. I am going to remove mine and reverse it so there will be a good lip. There were two ascetic problems. There are some bubbles and mild drips on the finish. The other problem is the tac welds holding the top on it’s supports slightly raised the top of table.Works nicely with my little WEN Lathe – see photo.

Bought it for my new WEN planer and it went together beautifully and works great. It would work fine for a variety of small power tools like a small band saw, jig saw or drill press.Locking mechanism works great with one foot and rolls easily once unlocked.
