Good quality filters, comparable to the 3M brand pleated filters I use in my home’s HVAC system. The combined filters (these and the 1 micron bag) are very effective at catching everything, including cigarette smoke!

Filter apparently does a good job, although this is the only air filter I’ve owned, so I have no real comparison(s). Pretty expensive for two filters, however. Unusual size makes it impossible to pull one of the shelf anywhere I know of. You could potentially make something if you’re willing to spend the time. Fairly easy to clean for reuse. I clean mine with a shop vac and compressed air. Have had the unit for about a year and overall unit and filters seem to work fine for me (again, no comparative data). Filters were shipped very quickly; one was slightly damaged but usable. Very simple to remove and replace.

My WEN system works well. My question and concern is about the frequency I need to change the filters. After about four days the filter is brown and coated with fine sawdust. If I change the filter at that point the cost is about $8 a week. Vacuuming the filter with my shop vac extends the life for a while, but I do not know when the filter is no longer effective. This is my main concern with the system.
