The WEN Grinder is a great value for the cost. It was smooth and easy to handle, cutting through concrete with the diamond blade very fast. It met all my expectations. I would recommend it to everyone.

I bought a 2nd before a month was up. Dont blow the coil from over extended run times and you’ll have it for years.

amazing for the price

Purchased this model to replace an older, wornout angle grinder. It was immediately used almost everyday for 2 weeks to cut vinyl soffit & siding on a remodeling job. Easy on/off switch, well balanced & plenty of power for continuous repeated cuts.

Only used it once so far but it does what it is supposed to do…..You really can’t beat the price for the value. This is my second Wen tool and I have been pleasantly surprised with the quality of each. My first Wen tool was a drill press. That was also excellent quality.

Gets to be heavy to work with if used for long period of time. Cumbersome if have to use with left hand. The on/off switch should be on top to be able to operate with either hand.Reasonable for small jobs. Otherwise you get what you pay for.

Purchased this grinder for a small concrete repair job. Can’t speak to its long-term reliability, but performed well for grinding down rough concrete patches to clean up an old repair job using a suitable diamond cup wheel. Good overall performance; seems well built, and you can’t beat the price—cheaper than renting one!

So far this is grinder has a good smooth powered motor that has the power I need, I’ve cut through 1/2″ metal with no problems. I have three grinders the other two cost more but this is just as good or perhaps better due to the smooth constant motor output. The lock switch is a must on any grinder that’s bringing used a good bit. Home Depot has always quickly gotten my order so no complaints. Been making good use of this and hope to get much more use out of it but for $25 I can’t find anything to complain about, it’s a good product. May buy another just in case one of my others go belly up. Can’t compare it to other high priced grinders cause I’ve never purchased one but this gets the job done in good order however I have used high dollar grinders and found them over powered and hard to handle so for my round the shop projects this is good.

I needed a second angle grinder to help me finish a big welding project faster. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a big brand name. I found this one on Home Depot’s website and thought I’d give it a try for $20. This grinder ended doing a fantastic job. I used it to make multiple cuts on 1/4 inch thick plates. I used it with a flap disc to grind multiple welds. This little grinder was a great investment.

I like it real well. Very handy on and off switch. For what I use it for, it has enough umph to it.

Too early tell reliability or durability. Worked fine the first half an hour I used it.

As the third WEN tool being added to my tool collection, I was expecting a solidly built and well performing tool that was pretty much ready to go right out of the box. WEN delivered again, and this 4.5” grinder is a good little tool. Requiring the same amount of ‘assembly’ as just about any other grinder: the guard has to be attached, the handle screwed on and (of course) some sort of cutting wheel or abrasion disc must be wrenched into place. All three of these tasks are easy to complete; all you’ll need is a screw driver and the included wrench to get a disc into place. Once these three items are in place, you’re ready to go.The on/off switch does have some fight in it, which most certainly will prevent an accidental power on. Considering how fast this spins (11,000rpm), avoiding an accident like that certainly is a good idea.I was able to successfully grind some rust off some tools with very little effort with the included grinding disc and even moderately sharpen up a very rounded chisel in no time at all. I do wish that a cut off wheel would have been included as that would have been a ‘nice to have’.The weight of the tool is a little heavy. It’s not overly heavy, but it does feel as if it’s just a little too much for a tool this size. Extended use could be a little wearing on the user and I feel that WEN could have shaved a few ounces here and there. Especially considering that this is a one speed machine (it’s either on full power or off) the weight and gyroscopic ability of the wheel do add up. My major complaint is the lack of good storage it comes with. The cardboard box it came in is very flimsy and I’ve managed to tear it once already. I prefer tools that come in hard plastic cases, as it keeps the dust off them and the spiders out of them. I will have to go through the effort of a finding a good method of storing this grinder, as its probably the first electric or pneumatic tool that I have that does not have a decent box, solid case or even a fabric bag to keep it in.
