I have used the angle grinder so far to cut rebar, cut tile, and to grind metal for an automotive restoration. It has worked well with no problems, plenty of power. Just make sure to purchase the correct grinding wheel for your task.

It worked better than the one I bought from harbor freight. The one I bought from harbor freight broke the same day.

I have 6 other grinders. Four are Milwaukee (most costing more than $100), one Dewalt (about $90) and a cheap Skil grinder. I use them on metal brackets and garden plant supports that I make/weld. This WEN caught me totally by surprise as it is smooth to start (nice on/off switch) and it is very light. Several of my Milwaukee grinders are wearing me out so this WEN will help in those hard to reach areas. I have no illusions that it will hold up like the Milwaukee or Dewalt but the switch is a dream compared to one of my newer Milwaukees. I was really surprised to see that it came with replacement brushes (for the motor). On one hand I was impressed but on the other hand I thought: Really??!! Most of my grinders I have had for more than two years (none have required repairs). I will probably lose those brushes in two years.

PRO:1. Powerful, you can really feel the torque when it starts up.2. Corded, will never use a cordless power tool ever again.3. Built tough, and comes with a disk already installed.4. WEN brand, this little known brand has impressed me twice now.CON:1. Not variable speed. 2. I hope I don’t lose the removal tool that comes with it. They should have made some kind of attachment that hooks it to the grinder, or to the cord.3. No bag or carry case, but not a deal breaker.OTHER:1. Buy if you want POWER and reliability.2. Don’t buy if you are looking for top of the line. But this is close.3. I’ll update of anything goes wrong.

This angle grinder is as good as any other expensive grinder on the market. I had no problems with it. Would recommend it for those looking to buy a excellent grinder at a much lower price.

Powerful 7 amp angle grinder. Hard to stall even intentionally. Seems well made with good long cord. Stronger than my 4 1/2” Makita. Have owned for a month or so, don’t know about durability. Would buy again.

Works fine, no inconvenience so far, good power, economic.for people having trouble with power button, it is easy, pull forward and locks in place for power, to turn off do not pull back but press to release and turn off. I guess some people have that problem because they want to pull back the switch, I did the something but I figured it out and pressed instead.

This angle grinder is remarkable for a tool for this price range. You can spend a lot more on an angle grinder but it won’t be a whole lot better. There’s really not many features to a grinder and this one has most of the ones the more expensive ones have. It has an adjustable wheel guard, a spindle lock button to prevent rotation of the wheel, a right angle handle, there’s a grinding wheel included, a wheel nut and wheel nut tool, they even throw in an extra set of brushes for the electric motor. About the only thing it doesn’t have is variable speed. The switch is on/off only.I have used it quite a bit since receiving it and I’m very impressed. It’s light, but not too light. The wheel is well balanced so there’s no extra vibration. The tool itself is well balanced and feels good in your hand. The only thing I can’t know about it at this time is longevity, but otherwise it’s a very nice tool. And finally, I know when you buy a new tool, you just want to get it out and try it as soon as you get it home. Me too. Also, I know the last thing you want to do is consider safety. Me too. I’ve been lucky. I’ve never really had any safety concerns other than a few minor injuries (I drove a phillips head bit on a impact driver in one side of my thumb and out the other, I’ve had some “shocking” experiences, and some other incidents too boring to mention). However, the older I get the more important safety issues become. When I got this angle grinder, I just wanted to fire it up and grind some stuff. I’m working on a project that required the use of the cutting disk (not included) and I really needed to get it done. Instead of jumping right into it though, I took time to review some online safety procedures associated with this grinder and ran across some videos of what not to do with a hand held grinder and why you shouldn’t do them. Ew…they showed some gruesome images (one guys face was basically split in half, forehead to chin). They caused me to really pay attention while I was re-learning how to properly use a grinder. I know it sound preachy, but please be careful when using power tools. The damage is done, often in less than a second, before you’ve realized anything went wrong. Wow…Sorry for the lecture.

This angle grinder is fine for infrequent and light-weight use. If you need something more then plan on spending more money.
