This is my first angle grinder. Feels powerful while using it to sharpen lawnmower blades. On/off slider switch is a press/slide type that isn’t intuitive. Overall a good entry- level tool. For the price, it meets my minimal requirements.

Read the reviews prior to buying and most were positive. Have used Sears, Milwaukee and other grinders far more expensive and this one will hold its own. The on/off switch is really a very simplistic design and reduces fatigue while using. Weight is not an issue and it does have the power to grind, cut, and use a wire wheel. The arbor setup is foolproof and easy to set up for any type of disc or wire wheel. Plus what other manufacture gives you extra motor brushes? I do a lot of metal work and put a lot of hours on my grinders so after using this one for about three hours I went and bought another one for a backup. The only thing at this point that I can not comment on is longevity. Once you have finished reading this review get up and go buy one.

This wouldn’t rate as a professional grinder, but for my general hobby & DIY use it’s really great. I really put it to the test on a job a few days ago….constant hard grinding for 20 minutes…it did great. For the money I spent on this I feel like I got a very good tool.

Second angle grinder. This replaced a Ryobi. Had one small project. This Wen was difficult to handle & I was able to hold it for only a minute at a time. It worked but I never felt in complete control of it. Ryobi presented NO such issues.Spend a few dollars more and get a better model/easier to control. Note: I still have some working electrical Wen hand tools from the 70’s.

I wish it had been less expensive and available in the local store. I had a gift card, so rather than getting a less expensive one for half as much at Harbor Freight, I got this one and had to wait for it to come in the mail.

Worked great. Used with a concrete grinding wheel to grind down an edge section of raised concrete. Seems like a quality product and would recommend.

My 2nd Harbor Freight heavy duty angle grinder failed, and I’d had enough with 30 day warranties, so I went looking for better. Thinking I’d end up with a professional brand, I was surprised that the 10 times as expensive models were still made in China, so how much better could they really be. Then I came across this Wen. More power than the HFT, a TWO YEAR warranty, and still the same price as the HFT one. I bought it, and man alive is it nice. It runs smooth and vibration free, quieter by a long shot, and the extra power is probably going to mean I don’t burn this one out like the 5 amp HFT model. Even the stopper button for removing the wheel is more secure and feels more engaged, like it isn’t trying to bend inside. This is a really good quality grinder. And, even better, I get two whole years to make sure it keeps working.

So far, it has done everything I have asked it to do (small home metal- and stucco-cutting jobs) and the price is unbeatable!

Worked exactly as it should. Cut through 1/4 piece of steel like butter.
