Remember when you had a smooth and powerful cut. The WEN 6.5 in. 24-Tooth Carbide-Tipped Saw Blade provides reliable and accurate performance, maintaining its straight shape and sharp edges for longer than the competition. The machine-cut carbide-tipped teeth slice through your workpiece, making easy cuts in even the hardest of woods. The 20 mm arbor allows for compatibility with the majority of 6.5 in. track saws on the market, including the WEN CT1065 Plunge Cut Track Saw. This lightweight, ultra-thin blade provides maximum efficiency during operation, leaving behind a kerf a mere 1.8 mm W (0.07 in.). It’s time to get reliable and powerful performance with a WEN Saw Blade. Remember when you had a blade that lasted. Remember WEN.

This Wen soft & hardwood track saw blade is made in China. It is 6 1/2 inches (165mm) in diameter and contains 241 carbide teeth. The diameter of the hole is 3/4 inches. Maximum RPMs for this blade is 9,200. I used the blade primarily to cut soft wood and found that it worked satisfactorily. I honestly cannot say that it is far superior to other blades of similar size that I have used in the past. Having said that, I do think it would meet the needs of professionals or DIY carpenters.

Don’t make the mistake I made – I obtained this blade thinking I would use it with my Makita 18V battery operated saw. What I didn’t realize was that track saw blades use a .78 arbor whereas my Makita (and many circular saws) has a 5/8″ arbor. When I initially tried to swap this blade onto my saw I realized my error and thought I would solve it by purchasing a bushing to fill the gap in arbor sizes. In addition to having a different size arbor the rotation for these blades is opposite that of non-track saw blades. I was able to address this by flipping the track saw blade label side in and the blade cut through OSB like butter.

The Wen 6.5 inch, 24 tooth blade is an excellent blade that runs smoothly, does not get hot and cuts so cleanly it hardly leaves any dust. Having said that, at 20MM the arbor is larger than most 6.5 inch saws, which are 5/8 inch so if you are going to use this blade on any tool other than a WEN be sure you have arbor adapters handy. Also, as you should always do, don’t just mount the blade with the printed information on the blade toward you, check to make sure the rotation is correct. Being alerted to these differences, I still am impressed by this fine blade.

This blade was good for cutting sheathing – very good and straight for rough ripping. The carbide tipped blades made it slide thought the wood substrate like butter (of course the blade is new). I don’t know the long-term wear on the blade but I am hoping the carbide tips will last. Unlike some coated blades to help ease the blade though the wood, this does not have a coating.
