Remember when you had a smooth and powerful cut. The WEN 6.5 in. 56-Tooth Carbide-Tipped Professional Saw Blade provides reliable and accurate performance, maintaining its straight shape and sharp edges for longer than the competition. The machine-cut carbide-tipped teeth feature an ATAFR (Alternate Top Alternate Face with Raker) design, making cuts faster and smoother then alternative saw blades. Abrasion-resistant non-stick PTFE coating maximizes performance and lifespan. The 20 mm arbor allows for compatibility with the majority of 6.5 in. track saws on the market, including the WEN CT1065 Plunge Cut Track Saw. This lightweight, ultra-thin blade provides maximum efficiency during operation, leaving behind a kerf a mere 1/17 of an inch wide (1.5 mm). It’s time to get reliable and powerful performance with a WEN Saw Blade. Remember when you had a blade that lasted. Remember WEN.
- Featuring a 6.5 in. Dia (165 mm), a 20 mm arbor and a rating of up to 9000 RPM
- Non-abrasive heat-resistant PTFE coating stays cool to prevent workpiece burns for a higher-quality cut
- ATAFR (Alternate Top Alternate Face with Raker) carbide-tipped teeth provide smoother and faster cuts
- Ultra-thin 1.5 mm kerf (1/17 in.) provides clean and efficient cuts
- Compatible with the majority of 6.5 in. track saws on the market, including the WEN CT1065 track saw

My first foray into the tracksaw world. Shortly after this arrived I injured my lower back and am now restricted to the weight I can lift. I was hoping to start a new project with this but it is now indefinitely postponed. So this review is rather short. First impression: very thin and very sharp teeth one small nail and it could be ruined. The precision required to manufacture this is impressive.I ordered this not understanding that tracksaw blades have a different arbor hole size than my circular Saw. Tracksaw = 20mm whereas the circular Saw =5/8 inch. I soon realized this unfortunate situation gave me an opportunity for a new tool so I ordered a Wen CT1065 6.5 inch TrackSaw from Home Depot, problem solved. My tests were several cross cuts on a 24 inch wide piece of ¾ inch plywood that I had on hand and a piece of ¾ inch melamine. I used a edge guide and made the depth of cut about ½ inch deep to keep the main body and the off cut in place for ease of comparison. Second impression: With the plywood I am impressed! Chip out on the top of both the main body and the off cut amounted to basically fuzz. A light sanding would pretty much remove any trace of the cut. The melamine did have some noticeable chip out on both the main body and the off cut side. That said as I was not using a track I could not use the scoring feature which may improve the result. This combination will definitely be good for breaking down sheet goods and when I get a track even accurately cutting parts to size.

WEN Blade provides excellent cut quality at a decent price. I tested this 56 tooth 6 and 1/2 inch blade against the Makita OEM blade and a new Oshlun, 48T, 160mm track saw blade. The first thing I noticed is how thin the WEN blade is compared to the other 2 saw blades. Which is a good thing. It means less material is ending up as dust and my saw ran stronger since it isn’t removing as much material. But the best thing about this WEN blade is the cut quality. I tested all 3 blades on delicate veneer plywood and hard to cut white melamine which is prone to chip-out. The WEN blade bested the other two blades (see photos). Perfect on the veneer plywood (as good as my best tablesaw blade) and nearly perfect on the melamine. It is priced at $32 (at the time of this review) which is higher than some premium blades but competitively priced. This blade is made in China.

The 56-tooth Wen carbide-tipped, thin-kerf ATAFR track saw blade with PTFE coating is a great blade for any quality project. Wanting to test the blade before starting my project, I used a conventional carbide blade and the thin-kerf blade( using an arbor addaptor) to make comparable cuts. ( I didn’t use tape on the cuts, because I was interested in seeing if the fine tooth blade would cause less chipping of the formica surface, but the chipping was similar for both blades. The PTFE coating decreased the drag of the blade, even though the kerf was thinner. The thickness of the kerf, on some projects, when making multiple cuts on a sheet of plywood, could make the difference in the amount of plywood sheets needed for the project.

This is not a ‘universal fit’ saw blade. The blade appears to be of high quality. I have a 25 year old heavy duty Black and Decker saw.. Unfortunately the blade hole is too large to fit the shaft of my saw. Most blades have a ‘knock out’ so you may use the blade on various size shafts. Make sure you check the shaft size before purchasing this blade. I would give the blade a higher rating if it was a universal fit.

I have used many Wen products and find them to be of excellent finish and very durable. From the appearance of this blade, it seems to measure up to Wen’s standards. When obtaining this blade, I did not realize a “track saw” is not a normal circular saw. The main difference is in the size of the arbor. This track saw blade arbor hole is larger than the arbor hole in a standard circular saw blade. This is clearly my error in not noticing this difference before acquiring the blade.
