Keep your cuts on the straight and narrow with the WEN 12 Amp Sidewinder Plunge Cut Track Saw. The WEN Track Saw provides users the same results as a table or panel saw in a compact and portable package. Simply lay the track (not included – model CT9502) along the desired surface for a clean and smooth cut. The WEN Track Saw is the perfect companion for ripping plywood, trimming doors, building furniture, and any other application needing long, precise cuts. Our powerful 12 Amp motor rotates the 7-1/4 in. blade anywhere from 2000 to 6000 RPM depending on the needs of your particular project. Simply set the variable speed dial to your preferred speed and start sawing. The universal design accepts blades with 5/8 in. arbors, allowing for compatibility with the majority of standard 7-1/4 in. miter and circular saw blades available on the market. Bevel the blade from 0 to 45° to create cuts in boards up to 2.6 in. thick (1.85 in. thick at 45°). Set the depth gauge stop to control how deep the saw plunges. The base features precision grooves that let the saw glide smoothly along the track. However, the saw can also operate on its own as a plunge saw, relying on its flat base for maximum stability and precision. The onboard dust port swivels a full 360° to meet the needs of any project. Compatible with the WEN CT9502 100 in. Track and the WEN CT992F Track Saw Clamps (not included). Backed by a 2-year warranty.

This is a excellent product from WEN a variable speed track saw. I have never owned one of there product before this is the first for me. Out of all the skill saws I have owned or used down thru the years this is my favorite it will be my go that for now on. Make sure you read and keep the instructions on this saw it does work different from the other saws. This saw is quiet running compared to the other saws. It comes with extra set of brushes for the saw. This saw is easy to set up to use. I haven’t tried it out on the track yet I’m going to get a set of them to use with this saw. I love where you can set the saw to saw to scribe on the wood with. This variable speed will come in handy to where i will need to cut some gypsy boards for our bathroom i don’t need the high speed for that and you can adjust it for your different needs. This is a wonderful saw and heavy-duty not to heavy you be able to use this saw day in day out. I have to highly recommend this saw.

It is said that quality lies in the details. WEN has really shined with this 71/4″ Plunge Cut Track Saw! The first thing that caught my eye was an extra set of motor brushes a very secure blade tool holder. It is the little things that mean alot to us DIYers!. The 12 amp motor plowed thru the 3/4 plywood like a knife thru butter. There is a scoring position built into the depth control. The all metal construction really feels good in your hand. The balance is excellent. The large metal shoe base allows you to make very accurate cuts. The WEN Plunge Cut Saw has so many features, including track locks, anti-kickback feature, variable speed motor, 6′ power cord, positive locking depth of cut control. The way that WEN marked out the measurement indications is great. White ink on black really stands out. The WEN Plunge Cut Saw is built like a tank! This is a saw that will provide years of service.

This is a good solid tracksaw at an excellent price point, which, in my opinion makes it a great overall value. I opted for a different brand of tracks to run this on due to availability and this saw runs great on them. The saw is solid and heavy (weighing in around 12 pounds), and feels well made. It comes with a set of replacement brushes as well. I also like the ability to remove the anti-kick back cam, which makes the saw easier to use.

Ordered the WEN CT1065 as soon as they were back in stock at the end of October and the next day noticed the 7 1/4”, 12 amp CT1272 so i ordered it as well for the higher amperage and more common blade size. Have used it to trim some very old, hard 1 1/2” walnut boards that are over 8’ long. These boards were difficult even on my Craftsman worm drive saw and yes the WEN CT1272 did stop when I tried to cut too deep. The great thing about this saw is you can score the board, plunge partial depth and then cut through and still be straight down the board (even at 8’). I also ordered the WEN track and clamps which both work well. Home Depot did increase the price on the tracks a couple of days after I ordered mine so I’m glad I went ahead and bought before the increase. For the hobbyist who on occassion need a track saw this is excellent.

I was expecting this WEN product to be a basic miter saw. It needs a track which I was not expecting. I really don’t think this product is for the casual DIYer. I occasionally make miter cuts with a miter box but wanted something more efficient and accurate. I cannot just put a piece of 2×4 down and make the desired cut. For someone with a higher woodworking skill level, this might be the perfect tool, but it is not for me.

This is a circular track saw that I’ve been wanted to get. I prefer this model because it’s light weight and compact in size. The saw has a 7- 1/4 inches blade, with a 12amps and 110 watt operating power. The saw comes in multiple speed to give you the best execution. If you already have an existing track, the saw will be a great complement. Otherwise, you need additional equipment for the best application. Other features include, a bag to capture saw dust.
