Ordered this product online and it took 3 days longer then expected to arrive due to covid but that’s ok. It was simple to put together and required only a small pair of pliers for connecting the gas line. Mower started up on first pull attempt and it ran really good. Height adjustment came in handy due to our bumpy yard. Self propelled mechanism works well just have to remember to let go of drive control bar when maneuvering in reverse or making sharp turns. This requires a little bit of getting used to but it was too be expected considering the mower type. Other then that im extremely happy with my purchase and I hope it lasts for years to come.

WEN GAS-POWERED LAWN MOWERWe received a Wen gas powered lawn mower from Wen Products to evaluate for the Home Depot Seeds program. The mower was packed in a extra heavy cardboard box and was cushioned extremely well to prevent freight damage.The only assembly I had to do was to install the handle and grass bag, I put in a good (API) 30W detergent oil as per instructions in the book. The setup was quick and easy, only thing left was gas up the mower and prime three times and ONE pull on the starter rope it was running. With this mower you can either rear bag, side discharge or mulch.I am very pleased mowing with this Wen power mower, it has rear wheel drive which gives very good traction on any incline and the mowing is very clean. The power drive has one speed which is a hefty walk; I’m 77 years old and had no trouble keeping up. We are very pleased with this Wen power mower and would recommend it to others.

First of all, when I saw this was Wen, I knew I wanted it. Wen has always made quality products. Took me a few minutes to unbox and put together. This doesn’t come with oil. I went with a full synthetic. I added gasoline, primed it 3 pushes, engaged the lever, pulled the cord and she started right up. Cut my grass quickly and evenly. Love how easy it made my mowing. I set mine up to mulch and it did a really fine chop on the clippings. Be sure to read the directions.

This is a well built and engineered 21″ self propelled lawn mower that cuts my thick St. Augustine grass perfectly. It has a nice designed blade that lifts and cleanly cuts the grass, and has the option to rear bag it (my preference), side discharge, or mulch. The mower doesn’t have some of the newer features of lawn mowers such as Auto Start (no need to choke the engine), and 1 pull start. Rather it uses a press bulb to prespray the carberator before you try to start it. I like the larger wheels with the rear wheels being the tallest. However the wheels could use deeper groves to give the mower stronger grip for self propelling it around the lawn. The engine is not an Overhead Valve design like many of the newer engines, but has plenty of power to both cut and propel the mower. I especially like the single level that allows you to raise the 4 wheels at the same time to a maximun height of 3″, however I prefer to cut at a height of 3 1/2-4″ with a soft St. Augustine lawn. All in all, an excellent mower, engineered and designed by WEN.

I have had a few mowers and even one that was self propelled but this one is the best I’ve owned so far. Putting the handles on was the only assembly required and I must say these are not light weight wimpy handles the correct height for mowing and easy start 3 pumps on the bulb and pull once and your off.I love the one handle mowing height adjustment and the 4 options for mowing side shoot, bag, rear shoot or mulch. I did have a hard time removing the mulch plug but pull up and out worked. I also could not get the cable holder on to the handle. This mower was not shipped with oil so you must add 4 cycle oil before you use it. Since it has rained every weekend my grass was really tall but this mower handled it great.

Assembly was very easy – maybe 10 minutes to attach the handles and get everything ready to go. Small touch, but everything was very well labeled so no problems or concerns with where to add oil or gas, how to use the mulcher vs bag, etc. It may seem weird, but I have to say this is a very cool looking machine – the flat black with shiny raised engine – its awesome. I’ve been using an electric mower for a few years so perhaps I am overly impressed with the power of this gas engine, but it runs really smooth and plows through even thick wet grass with ease. Adjusting the grass height is easy (simple one handle adjustment). The mulcher works really well, shredding the cut grass into tiny clippings. Overall I can’t say enough good things about this lawn mower!!
