WEN…. 12in Triangular Architect Ruler. I picked this idem because I need and use a measuring devise many times a day usually a measuring tape but this architect ruler is the answer to my straight edge and measuring needs for small projects. I love the easy to read scales that are laser etched white on black background. The Triangular shape of this ruler makes it easy to pick up. Having scales on three sides come in handy although I’m not an architect I like having them. This is a great tool and it works out great in my shop.

This is the most beautifully made architect scale I’ve ever used or seen for that matter. Each of the three sides are attractively designated with different color rubber “piping” inlaid in the centers. Great for easy identification. The laser etched graduations and numbers are perfect against the black anodized metal. This product is an absolute joy to use!

I like the look of this scale. I have several other scales since I work in the civil engineering field. Other scales are typically with with black markings. I like the black scale with white makings. I think the markings stand out more and are easier to read. The photos show a roadway plan detail and all of the work I do is in feet. I do not have any drawings in inches, but you can see the effect of the white marking against black lines. I the center of the scale on all three parts there are colored strips for fast reference for which scales you are looking at. To me this has no added value, but it may for some. I also like that it is made of aluminum. I am interested to see if temperature has any significant effect of the readings. I may load this to a friend who works on the construction of roads where he is out in the heat and cold to see if there is any difference.

Wen manufactures quality measuring instruments and this is no exception.. This ruler is made from aluminum and is solid. The silver stamped increments are very clear and stand out very well against the black body of this tool. This is a great tool for anyone that enjoys designing their own projects (with paper and pencil). Today, most people use the computer to design projects but, I still love to draw and this is a great tool to have.

The WEN 12″ Aluminum Triangular Architect Ruler with Laser – Etched drafting scales is such an improvement from the older plastic scales. Heavy enough to move on drafting paper, very easy to read with a sharp edged scale. Used to draw up a set of plans with easier reading, less eye fatigue. The numbers are very visible on this scale. Nicely packaged in a shipping box that can store this ruler for safe keeping

Good for several types of measurements, with the different markings of inches and subdivisions; metric measurements, triangular design makes easer to use than a flat ruler, and black and contrasting markings make easier to read.
