Only been using it for a month so far and it have worked great. For home or hobby This saw at the price is well worth it.

This saw does a good job as long as you don’t lock the table. Turning the handle to lock causes the saw to be off square by almost an eighth of an inch over 8 inches. Left unlocked it is fine. Good beginner saw with practice.

Functionality is great. Laser shows exactly where the cut is going to be made. Its switch is on the handle under a transparent rubber cover. Changing the blade is fast and simple. Tried an old blade first, then the one included. Works very well and does very nice cut. I liked the sliding function, which is optional, thanks to the orange fixating screw near the dust exhaust. All adjustments are easy and fast. Now what I wished to be different… This saw is light weight. This was achieved by reducing the base size (see comparison to my old saw) and by making everything out of thin aluminum. The base extensions are plastic. The blade cover seems to be very thin aluminum. The dust exhaust has an attachment that fits a work vacuum well, BUT it is only 1.5” instead of 2.5” as my old saw has. Even with working vacuum, dust accumulates around the saw. There is one hold down clamp included. It holds well, however, when using the slider to widen the cut, the clamp must be at the left side to allow the motor to pass through (see picture of how it is in the way). The bottom line is that I like the functionality of this saw, but there are too many minor cones to give it 5 stars.

The Mitter saw was easy to assemble and very sleek looking. Beyond that it cuts like a dream. The laser feature is also great to have.

I just received the 15 Amp 10 in. Single Bevel Compact Sliding Compound Miter Saw with Laser and have put it through some cutting test and I like the power and speed of the cuts that this makes with accuracy. The adjustments are all smooth and easy to make and the assembly was fast and easy. The saw barely noticed anything I cut and I had no binding or slowdowns, so far I am very happy with this miter saw and would buy again.

I had this WEN 10” sliding miter saw shipped directly to my home, the packaging material was sufficient to prevent damage during transport. The saw arrived mostly assembled. It took about 10-15 minutes to unbox the saw, inventory the parts, and attach the handles and table extensions.I like the 2 table extensions it came with to use for longer pieces of wood. It also has one clamp that can be mounted on either the left or right side of the saw. The saw comes with a 10” carbide (40 tooth) general purpose blade which can handle most jobs. The laser was very accurate as to were the blade would cut, and could be seen shining on the wood even under bright conditions outside. The blade slides forward enough to handle 12” pieces of wood.As I started using the saw more my initial positive impressions faded quickly. For starters the dust collection bag points up so any dust it collects falls back out. About 95% of the saw dust I created was in a pile on the ground behind the saw. Also this saw is not able to be used as a quick “chop saw” for 2 x 4 pieces of wood. It will leave one corner of the 2 x 4 still attached. You will have to pull the saw handle down and slide it forward each time to cut a standard 2 x 4 which adds time and frustration. This miter saw also does not have an electric brake, the blade will keep turning 5 seconds after you let go.All in all this saw has some nice features and is not too expensive, but seems to fall short in other areas.

This worked very well for me. My husband had recently replaced our outside bedroom door with one that’s more of a front door type. The only thing we didn’t have was the moulding around the door. I wanted the moulding to match the rest of the inside and I had never attempted something that was so “permanent”. I practiced for awhile on heavy cardboard and then graduated to thin wood, getting thicker as I gained confidence! I did the straight cuts no problem and the angled were much easier than I thought they would be! Just set and cut! Hubby likes the small size so it stores easily when not in use. The grands are into making bird feeders and birdhouses, so we will be getting a lot of use of it this summer!

I got this WEN compact sliding compound miter saw so I could cut larger pieces of wood with out flipping them over. Comes with an adaptor to connect my vacuum up to I have never used the dust bags that come with my saws. Easy set up I just had to add the kerf board and miter lock knob and carry handle Clamp was installed and can be use on either side of saw. Did several test cuts lazer and blade were spot on. I also like the storage of the allen wrench right in the saw.
