Had the usual heavy ceramic oval slow cooker, with insert. When it bit the dust, I wanted something that was more versatile. I can use pan on stovetop, use the base as a warming tray, or as a griddle. Best of all the cleanup is so much easier. No more soaking of dish, cleanup is a breeze! Also has extra lid to snap on if taking it somewhere, and having the carry tote was the selling point for me! I do food trains for people coming home from hospital, serious illness, maybe just need some TLC! This slow cooker will be a work mule for me. Everyone loves the fact it isn’t heavy, and can be used in different ways.

I’ve had many of these slow cookers over the past 40 years. The pots always wear out long before the heating base. No matter how careful I am with hand washing the nonstick surface it bubbles and flakes after a few months of use. Then I buy another one because I like it so much. Just wish the pots were more durable.

My Mother had a westbend years ago and when she passed I was lucky enough to receive the slow cooker. I used it till the bottom fell off literally !!! I had an old large crock pot I began to use and it was so heavy that I just had to get another westbend I will never go back to a crock pot. I LOVE my westbend!!!!

I recently purchased this after looking around for it in my area. I had one years ago and moved out of the country and had to leave it. I love the griddle also, it is great for heating pizza and other leftovers. I just wrap them in foil, sit them on the griddle and place the top on over the foiled food.

Although functionality was what I expected, I was disappointed that there were no handles and metal does conduct heat. I also found that the paint color on the outside chipped easily and became discolored on the bottom with the first use.

Brought this 2 weeks ago. Really love the color and the new base design. The base seems to be a little easier to move around. The pan seems a little heavier as I have three of the later model ones. I use them in my campers and at home. Was able to hand down one of mine to my 17 yr old grandson who says he loves that it is so simple to operate.

I used to have a smaller version of this slow cooker but it conked out after about 20 years. I wish this had come in a smaller size as there are only 2 of us but I like how the pan is easy to wash and can be used on the stovetop or oven as well. I’m old school so appreciate that you have just basic settings without anything digital or a probe. Cooks great. Didn’t need the tote and don’t think it adds value.
