I used to have a smaller version of this slow cooker but it conked out after about 20 years. I wish this had come in a smaller size as there are only 2 of us but I like how the pan is easy to wash and can be used on the stovetop or oven as well. I’m old school so appreciate that you have just basic settings without anything digital or a probe. Cooks great. Didn’t need the tote and don’t think it adds value.

I had a Westbend crockpot similar to this new one and literally wore it out. The new one is compact, up to date and works like a dream!

I was replacing my old 20 YEAR old West Bend slow cooker, the same style. I use this appliance all the time. The only way i could find this style was through the West Bend web site. I braise meats on the stove and then add water to slow cook and this pot is the best for cooking corn on the cob. The newer design is a little more deep than the old, but does not take any more space. I have no need for a carrying case.

I inherited my mom cooker and it still worked great but the pan was really beat up inside so I decided to replace it. I bought this new one and i used it to cook a roast 2 days after I got it. It works just like my old one and it works beautifully. I love it plus I love the new color Red. Would definitely recommend this cooker. So much better than a regular crock pot because it cooks faster or slow if you prefer.

The first time I used the cooker, I put it in the oven, I read directions, said glass cover can go in 350 oven, the knob melted, I had to immediately send for another. I was terribly disappointed, not too happy.

Crockpot makes a clicking sound this might be normal. Crock pot does not cook on low just keeps food warm. Love this style Compared to other crockpots that vase comes in and out. Old school crock pots are the best for cooking slow no worries.

Have owned several West Bend slow cookers! This is the same dependability that the others have proven. However I wish they had a better inside surface that doesn’t chip off. That’s the only reason I replace them!

I bought this slow cooker in Dec 2019. I had had a Westbend slow cooker like this in the 80s or 90s and I loved it. It is not heavy like other slow cookers, and I find that it cooks better and the temperatures are more controllable than the crock pot type slow cookers. I also like that I can brown something in the pot on the stove first, then put it directly on the slow cooker base. But one day, I was happily cooking away with it one day when all of sudden I heard a very loud “clack”. I swung around to see that the base of the slow cooker had cracked clear through the name on the front. There is still something inside holding it together, and it still cooks fine, but the crack was and is a bit disconcerting. Makes me a little worried that I shouldn’t leave it on when I am not home or am asleep. My first one never did this and I had it for years. I still recommend the cooking system on this unit, but the base design apparently needs to be improved to better tolerate the heat that it produces.

Purchased this slow cooker a few weeks ago to replace a 12yr old West Bend slow cooker. Must say the quality and performance has not changed over the years. Love this unit and highly recommend to anyone that wants a quality inexpensive slow cooker.

I bought this to replace another West Bend Slow cooker with Griddle base that probably lasted a quarter century or longer! I loved how easily it cleaned last night having made chili.A trusted brand of mine – for sure!

I recently purchased this after looking around for it in my area. I had one years ago and moved out of the country and had to leave it. I love the griddle also, it is great for heating pizza and other leftovers. I just wrap them in foil, sit them on the griddle and place the top on over the foiled food.
