First of all, when you buy this grinder, pick who you want to leave it to in your will, just like your cast iron skillet. Your grand kids will be using this. I custom grind meat for gourmet burgers and meatloaf, blending sirloin, chuck, and brisket with herbs and spices added to the blend. I grind about 5 lbs at a time, coarse grind, with a second pass to mix everything. What used to take 15 minutes on my old grinder takes about a minute. This thing is a beast, plenty of power, and a pleasure to use. It is also quiet with no gear whine or chatter. This is commercial quality and would be good for a restaurant or small butcher shop. Very easy to clean up afterwards as well. You should also get yourself some cleaning brushes and a can of food grade silicone spray for maintenance.As to the description part, this grinder comes with only a coarse and fine plate, so two plates instead of three. There is also no reverse on the grinder either, just an on/off switch.Bottom line – you get what you pay for and this one is worth every dollar you spend on it. There is no buyers remorse.
