Our family grows lots of tomatoes in our garden each year. The Weston made the chore of straining the seeds and skin from the tomatoes very easy. The unit is very durable, works very fast, the sauce comes out very fast. The skin and seed are discharged are completely dry. The assembly and dis-assembly is very easy. The cleaning is very easy. There is not a lot of noise from the motor. I purchased 2 additional units for my son and daughter for their use. I rate this product very high and would recommend this product.

have used a hand crank type machine, very similar to this item, for years. pretty hard work with those tough roma tomatoes, even after cutting them into small pieces. this item makes things so much faster and easier. i cut the roma’s in half lengthwise to make it easier to get them down the chute. just keep shoving them in, the machine hardly bogs down at all. easy to take apart and clean.haven’t tried any other fruits, but i’m confident i will be pleased with the outcome. worthwhile purchase for the serious canner.

The Weston electric strainer is a great tool to simplify homemade tomato sauce. I was concerned that they say to use “food grade silicone spray” to maintain the product, but after much research decided to take my chances and skip that rather than exposing my family to tomato sauce with silicone.

I canned 4 bushels of tomatoes. It is so much faster than the old crank strainer I have always used. It also separates more pulp from the skins. It is well worth the extra money, but still makes a mess to clean up. I wish the chute that the pulp and juice flowed down had a little higher sides.

It would have been better if you would take out the plastic and replace with stainless steel !The plastic parts stain and will ware faster than stainless steel
