Robotic mowers are valuable, so we included the Find My Landroid module with this model so you can keep eyes on your Landroid at all times. Find My Landroid is easy to install and gives your mower a constant cellular connection (the first year of service is free with purchase and can be renewed right from the app). In the event that it is removed from your yard, you’ll receive an alert on your phone, with GPS coordinates and its location on a map so that you can alert the authorities and your mower can be retrieved. The Worx Landroid is easy to install and equipped with features to make your life easier. Its patented AIA technology lets it mow in a random algorithm and navigate narrow passageways with ease. The Landroid is also weatherproof and comes equipped with a rain sensor that lets it know to head back to the charging base so it doesn’t mow wet grass. The convenient mobile app allows you to control Landroid from the palm of your hand and suggests an auto schedule to best fit your lawns size and conditions. Landroid mows more frequently than other mowers, its offset razor-like blades cut a little off the top during every mow cycle and mow closer to the perimeter of the lawn. When the battery gets low Landroid knows to head back to its Charing base to rest and recharge. Each wheel is driven by an independent brushless motor that gives it more maneuverability and helps it to navigate obstacles and slopes up to 20°.
- [FULLY AUTOMATED] The Landroid M with GPS cuts up to a ¼ acre all by itself. Just lay down the boundary wire once, measure your lawn with the app, and let it mow
- [FIND MY LANDROID] The Find My Landroid GPS cellular module is included with this model ($299 value). If Landroid is ever removed from your property the app will notify you immediately and give you the ability to track it if stolen
- [DO IT ALL WITH THE SAME BATTERY] Worx Power Share is compatible with all Worx 20v and 40v tools, outdoor power and lifestyle products
- [APP CONTROL] Check mowing progress, start or stop Landroid, receive software updates and more
- [NAVIGATES NARROW PATHS] Patented AIA technology allows Landroid to navigate narrow passageways too difficult for ordinary robotic mowers
- [CUSTOMIZED MOWING SCHEDULES] Have Landroid mow every day, every other day, it can even recommend an auto schedule based on your yard’s size and conditions
- [TACKLES OBSTACLES] If Landroid encounters obstacles it will bump them and back away, or you can exclude areas of your lawn that you don’t want Landroid to mow. Landroid can also tackle slopes in your yard up to 20°
- [RAIN SENSOR] When Landroid detects rain, it returns to the charger to wait until the lawn is dry. Even though its body is rain-resistant, it knows better than to cut wet grass
- [CUT TO EDGE] The 7” offset 3-blade cutting disc gets closer to the edge than other mowers, so you have less trimming to do later

I have the 1st Gen and it has served me well for over 18 months with few issues but it is now relegated to back yard. This upgrade is a huge improvement with the phone app and GPS. Love it so far. Wish I would have gotten the larger version for the slightly wider cut but that is my fault!

It’s nice to be able to add it as an accessory. It’s not as accurate as I thought, coming from a Husqvarna. I would like the mower to slow down once it notices an object to know it sees it- but it does function.

Landroid M runs awesome! goes around objects with ACS Sensor – gives me time to do other things.

This Mower is huge difference over my old WG794 Landroid, they got everything right with the new WR140 Landroid, just having the App makes a huge difference being able to make changes while it’s mowing, and a lot of new setting not available on the old Landroid.I was having a lot of issues with my old Landroid digging itself into the ground when it hit a clump of grass where they’re were bold spots, the WR140 hits those same spots it either goes right over them or turns and goes a different way with no digging in, plus the old one coming down the hill in my backyard would pickup speed the slam on the brakes and skid to a stop then continue mowing at normal speed, the new one stays at the same speed all the time even coming down the hill.Another issue with the WG794 going across the hill would turn and go down the hill and not continue across the hill with my complex yard it was a problem, with the WR140 it’s no longer an issue, it stay’s going straight across my hill. The mower came packaged really well just like my old WG794 was.I was able to use my old wire already buried in the ground, I just need to move the location of the base where as the new base is much different than the old one, the new drives straight alongside the base where as the old one drive into the base, so the new base required a new location and minor reworking of the wire, I had that done while waiting for my new Landoid to ship and arrive, so when the one arrived I just had to install the new base and swap out the power adaptor with the new one.The cutting height adjustment is a lot different and better compared to the old one, which was a knob you grab and turn, the new one is completely different and easier to turn and adjust.I love the fact that it uses the same 20v battery as the rest of my Worx Tools, charge time is 90 Min which is fine.So I’m very pleased with purchase of the Worx Landroid WR140.

For the first time in close to 20 years of being a homeowner, I am no longer in the grass mowing game. I don’t mow it myself now, or hire it out. This little orange robot just goes out every day and keeps the lawn perfect. I just got a LOT of time back.I’m tempted to end the review here because it’s hard to exaggerate the feeling of getting the thing set up and rolling and realizing you’ll never go back to manual mowing. It’s a huge life hack. But it’s worth writing a little more because there are other unexpected benefits worth sharing in addition to the time savings, such as a better lawn, and, as with any new kind of product, there are still some things that can be improved.Benefits:1. Time saved vs. manual DIY mowing. Huge!2. Money saved vs. a lawn service. Also huge! Buy the Landroid once and you’re done. (Yes, you’ll need new little razor blades every couple months and the electricity to charge it…but it’s a few bucks a month on average vs. hundreds for a service)3. Frequency of mowing… I run the Landroid every day or every other day now. This enabled me to take the plunge on planting Bermudagrass, which I’ve wanted to plant for years but held off because I couldn’t commit to mowing (or hiring someone else to mow) 2-3x per week during growing season. I’ve now got a lawn that’s better for my kids to play soccer on. And it stays at a perfect height without needing to really think about it too much.4. Better lawn health – because this mower only clips off a little bit of grass at a time, you don’t need to collect the clippings and it feeds nutrients back into the soil acting like a natural fertilizer. Also, with this lightweight maintenance mower unit, there’s less soil compaction and scalping that can develop from conventional mowing machines and schedules. All of these things make for a nicer lawn, less maintenance, less $ on fertilizer and it’s better for the environment due to no gas-powered mower and less nitrogen runoff from fertilizer.5. Awesome app. I love the design of the app – very intuitive to use and has a ton of features. I really don’t like programming hardware using buttons on the equipment itself, or having to be at the machine to make any changes, so the app is a great addition. I especially like the autoprogramming feature where you walk around the edge of your yard with the app on and it calculates a recommended schedule of mowing. So cool! And the lock feature where the machine will make a continuous noise if picked up and taken.6. Add-ons. The Find my Landroid and obstacle avoidance, among other things, are available to make the overall package better, but not bundled so you don’t have to buy them upfront just to get the mower.Things that could be improved:1. The boundary wire takes a fair bit of time and learning curve to install. It’s the hardest part of set-up. Don’t rush it. Read the manual and watch some YouTubes. Once done, you’re looking at a lifetime of no more lawnmowing, so take the time needed to do it right. I’m not sure what Worx could do to make this easier, but if they could it’d be awesome!2. Get clear on the height of cut specifications for this model, Worx WR140. The manual, the Worx website, and product descriptions on different ecommerce sites don’t always agree on what range of mowing height this unit offers. Is it 1.9-3.5 inches, or 1.6-3.9? Or is it 1.5″-3.1″ like the PC Mag review says? Does the WR140 enable the owner to flip the blade cylinder to get warm or cool season grass heights? Looking at the unit, I think it does and if so, that’s huge, because it means this one unit can handle both warm season grasses, which require shorter heights of cut (1″-3″), and cool season grasses, which typically require longer heights of cut (e.g. fescue, recommended at approx 4″). I know that this model can handle a decent length for Bermudagrass, so it’s fine for me, but for other folks trying to decide whether or not to buy this, I’d imagine the height of cut is a critical piece of info.3. Better product install video. I’d have LOVED to have had an actual human showing me the installation steps in a real-life setting. Pasting 2D diagram pictures and words from the printed product manual and making a slideshow is not the same as a real video. I would have avoided a number of mistakes, saved time, and been way more confident if I could watch a Worx product expert unbox and install an actual unit on an actual lawn, instead of looking at 2D diagrams. Overall, the items for improvement above are greatly outweighed by the benefits. Bottom line, there’s nothing like looking out your window and watching a robot mow your lawn for you. It’s kind of magical. Truly a gamechanger!

First off, let me say that I usually resist change (specifically technology). But this has been a game changer. I was reluctant at first, but it was super easy to use and my lawn is freshly cut on the daily. Now everyone on my street keeps talking about it! If I can only teach it to entertain my kids….ha!

I bought two Landroid M, to use then in my fenced backyard (3000 sqf) and open front and side yard (8000 sqf). The one in the front does have a GPS module for tracking in case it gets removed from the yard. After a couple of months of use, I can say with high confidence that robot mowers are the future of mowing. They are just superior in every aspect of mowing:- Quality of cut- Frequency of cut- Amount of grass cut each time- Quality of the grassOn top of that, you don’t have to mow anymore, except maybe some edging. You can even get around that if you run the wire around of the mowing area so that the Landroid will edge for you.The only draw back I found so far is the amount of work to get the mower going. It’s a one time job to place the wire along the mowing area and it’s tedious and back breaking. But when done, you will never mow again. My only suggesting is to follow the detailed instructions and you can’t go wrong. In case of issues or simply to answer your questions, the Landroid customer care is pretty good and helpful.Overall, I am highly satisfied of the Landroid M and I would recommend to anyone with a small or medium lawn.

I bought this about a month ago, and it’s working out exactly like I thought. Full disclosure, didn’t read up enough on setting up the boundary wire, but after a quick study session, I was ready to get going.
Ursula Hills (verified owner) –
Be careful, they made major changes from previous model. 1 item that went backwards, you used to have a dial you could adjust in increments, now all you get is a clunky 1,2,3,4,5 inches. No in between anymore. Packaging is lacking as mine came with be scratch due to being put next to the charge base and the metal prongs scratch it.

It’s been a couple weeks since I finished the install. Although a lot of work for my yard. I had to lay close to 1400 ft of boundary wire! If you follow the directions which are clear and simple. You will find great satisfaction once you finally turn it lose . There were a few bugs in my install that I had to tweak here and there. But know it’s just too good to be true . My grass is always perfect and I never leave the house! I added the out of bounds kit which I would highly recommend if you have multiple areas that need to be avoided. It reduces the amount of boundary wire you need to put down . And makes install just that much simpler. Absolutely fabulous tool just like everything else I own from this company. I live in Charleston SC and it gets so hot during the summer months it’s to warm to sit outside. Never mind cut grass! I now watch it happen from the comfort of my air conditioned home. Best investment I’ve ever made in lawn care.

This is my second robot mower, I started with the friendly robotics back around 2005. Then when I moved to my new house with an irregular shaped yard and a narrow path between a tree and my neighbor’s yard, I wasn’t able to use it. I had been paying around 1000-1200 a year for a lawn service since then. Last year I decided I was going to go buy a new robot mower and had settled on the Husqvarna. I nearly placed an order this spring for it when I stumbled on the Worx 143. I quickly spent some time comparing the units and while they appeared similar, Worx support was night and day over Husqvarna. I wasn’t able to get a hold of someone there that could speak intelligently about their mower while Worx support was easy to get to, very knowledgeable(everyone I talked to there uses one for their house as well), and quite friendly. That sealed the deal for me.This mower has exceeded my expectations now that I’ve been running it for a month. I used to have willow saps popping up in my yard which no longer happens. Weeds also don’t get a chance to grow and now it’s appearing that it’s even harder for weeds to start with how thick my lawn is looking.I knew what I was in for on the wire placement, but it was even more critical for the mower to be completely automated. The friendly robotics wasn’t automatic, I had to charge it and drive it to the law before starting it manually. If it got stuck somewhere, I was there to watch and fix it. With this mower, you want to tune it so that it edges as close as possible to hardscape or the house. I’ve got a lot of “organic” shaped plant beds which took a fair amount of fiddling around to get right. All in all it’s probably been about 4 or 5 hours over the past month getting everything tuned right. As it gets closer to perfect, my time spent is going down quickly. All I do now is a quick trim once a week for a few areas that I cannot get the mower to hit (they’re small or around trees)The only drawback to this mower (and the reason for the 4 rating) is now both of my neighbors are looking at this unit. I wanted something complete hands off and the wires need to be 36″ apart which will mean there will a stripe down the sides of the house. I can work with my neighbors on timing, I hope they do something where I can shut the parameter wire down when it’s not mowing… I should almost become a dealer here, so many people are stopping and asking about it….This is probably one of the best purchases I’ve ever made.

I’m so happy I bought my landroid a few weeks ago. I’ve used it plenty of times and it’s made mowing the lawn SO much easier! I’m never going back to a normal lawn mower again.
