Traditional circular saws are bulky and unwieldy. They usually have a cord to get in the way, and if you don’t know what you’re doing, they’re hard to control. Meet the Worxsaw. This 3-3/8” Compact Circular Saw is perfect for beginner DIY-ers that are ready to step up to intermediate projects, or serious woodworkers that just want an extra, grab-n-go saw for quick rip and plunge cuts. It comes with a 1.5Ah battery and 5-hour charger, a 24T carbide-tipped blade, a hex key to switch out that blade, a vacuum adapter, and a parallel guide, so you’ve got everything you need to get going right out of the box. With a no-load speed of 2300 rpm, it can achieve the speeds of much larger saws because the thinner kerf of the 3-3/8” blade puts less strain on the motor (as compared to a full-size 7”+ blade). That also means the motor will last longer than larger saws. It’s only 4.4 lbs, so you can take it anywhere, store it anywhere. The grip with integrated safety trigger is well-balanced, for excellent control. The left-side blade design makes it so that you can see exactly where it is that you’re cutting, instead of measuring and guessing. And maybe best of all, you only need one hand to operate it. IntroThe Worxsaw is a cordless 20volt compact circular saw. It’s a part of the Worx Power Share system so if you’re already in the Worx power tool family you will have plenty of batteries. This compact little saw is fun to use and does a great job. The blade is 3 3/8 and the tool weighs in at 4.1 lbs so the light weight helps reduce fatigue and keep the project moving. The Worxsaw come with the standard Worx 3 year warranty. Set up The set up of the Worxsaw was simple, just three parts and one of those is optional. You have the saw blade, battery and the optional dust hose adapter. You slide in the blade, bold down and snap on the battery, now its ready to go. Can’t get any simpler than that to put something together. UseThe only thing that stands out is an adjustment you will have to make when using the safety lever to put the saw into operation. With a regular circular saw the blade guard moves on it’s own as you move through the cutting service. You will manually pull the Worxsaw blade guard into operational mode. Once you get the hang of that operating the saw was simple and straight forward. Setting the depth of the worked well and was accurate with the cuts. The Worxsaw took Everything I threw at it and performed without issue. It comes with a hose adapter that can be attached to a vacuum system if working in the shop or an environment where you need to collect all debris. Power/Battery LifeThere was plenty of power to cut through materials and the battery life was great. The battery lasted for a complete project and never completely drained. Keep in mind is this an addition to your Worx family of tools you will always have a spare battery available.
