I had just put these anti-slip pads on and had the drive at a weird angle on a slick surface and I was impressed. They are so easy to put on and they do the job.

I was really hopeful this would help my slippery SSD cards. But it does not stay. One side keeps popping up.

When the original Grip It Tech pads came out, I was actually in the NYC B&H store and was shown a live demo on the sales floor. Decided to wrap my Samsung smartphone -as suggested – with cut strips. Dropped the phone many times, and never suffered any damage. Imagine they would be just as good for anything else, such like hard drives, etc. Just received the new Xcellon hard drive, anti-slip pads and have noticed the following: 1. Not as flexible and, therefore, not as broadly useful. 2. Hard rubber instead of soft rubber. 3. No longer textured and as grippy to hand-hold. Maybe a fine product for portable hard drives, but no longer as widely useful for other products like smart phones. Lastly, I used the original pads on top of a thin case, for extra protection. Old pads may have also been more sticky and adhesive, but only time will tell…

not sure why anyone would pay for these

This anti-slip pad for my ssd drive is perfect! I wasn’t expecting to get it free with my purchase of the Samsung T5 Portable SSD 2T.

I purchased these with my SanDisk SSD and they needed to be cut down in size in order to fit on it. Unfortunately the adhesive just didn’t stick well to the drive. I’m not sure if it’s because they were cut, or because the drive has a rubberized material on it, but it didn’t do a very good job unfortunately.

They seemed fairly grippy on the first day but not so much a week later. I used them on my SSD drives which have a slick surface to stop them sliding around but the Pads did not grip well on my desk

I had much higher hopes and expectations. Because of the price I won’t be returning them. But I really don’t know what use one would have for them is. I certainly wouldn’t attach them to my expensive Samsung T7. Why would I ever do that? My advice is consider what you’re using them for and don’t go by the photo or description. They aren’t that sticky or even tacky either. Only on the side you apply to your precious or expensive devices…. which I will not be doing. I doubt this would be at all easy to remove. Sorry 3M.
