I was looking for a webcam for Zoom meetings. They’re in short supply because of COVID-19, but this one was available. I couldn’t get it to work out of the box with Arch Linux, but another reviewer said to install Cheese first. I installed Cheese from the default distro and after a reboot, it worked immediately. I wish it could be adjusted to pan/tilt better, but at least I could use a tripod. Picture is reasonable, considering the use case.

Works as advertised, plug and play. Great for computers that don’t have a built-in camera and mic, like mine.

In my previous review I mentioned that I bought this camera for my sister who uses it primarily for her job and communicating via WebEx. I have also purchased an additional unit for my brother-in-law and myself. I have mine hooked up to my Late 2016 MacBook Pro and the quality is decent but not amazing. I value that the camera has a wide angle of view and can swivel for anyone with privacy concerns. I’ve been conducting a good amount of virtual visits with my doctors since the COVID-19 outbreak and there is nothing more frustrating than trying to angle a laptop camera to capture a better view of lower extremities. With this camera I can move it around since the cord is over 6 feet long and view everything on my monitor. As far as other reviewers saying the color is off it’s true if you have a light source near your face that’s also near something that has red/purple in it then the camera will pick up on that. The room I have my computer room in has wallpaper that has these white/red berries that the table lamp bounces the color off of. Just something to be aware of. Everyone can say wait until Logitech comes back in stock but does anyone know when that is? Now I see this camera is back ordered.

This is a reasonably good camera, certainly better than the camera built into either laptop I have (work and personal). It’s lacks a few bells and whistles higher end name-brands have (no privacy cover, audio quality isn’t great, no software, etc.) but it’s also cheaper and it’s available (at the time of writing this, early June 2020, it’s very difficult to find webcams available). It’s cheaper directly on Chinese websites but I value the support and expedited availability from B&H. I probably wouldn’t have bought this camera under normal circumstances but it’s a fine alternative given what I need now.

Ordered this because of the price and availability. The image quality is ok, but it doesn’t pick up light well. I have reasonable lighting in my room but yet the amount of shadow on my face is overwhelming. Unless you have a light direct facing you, otherwise, this would be only good for a Halloween facetime party.

Got this desperate for something better than my phone and laptop cam for Zoom meetings. So far it’s working nice!

This webcam has given me no problems. I primarily use Linux and so getting some of the settings right can be tricky, but the camera itself has good color and feels solid. I disabled the auto focus because I didn’t like the sound it made when in use or how it made my picture zoom in and out slightly. But for just sitting at a desk auto focus is not that helpful anyway. Having a stereo mic is nice, but the sound quality is nothing to brag about. Works fine for video conferences and such.

It absolutely does what it needs. Plug and play. Up and running in 3 minutes or less. It’s an absolute bear necessities kind of alternative to the better-known Logitechs but, in a pinch. It certainly gets the job done at a low-risk price. Note: Virw Angle is VERY wide.

the image is not great, focus is spotty. sound is poor. im an AV specialist by trade. i also stream events as of late. i bought a number of webcams to use on various streaming software. this unit was better thay many in its price range for image. but there are better ones the audio is terrible. logitech models are still better in this atens, inspite of the advertising on this unit,. both image and audio quality is average to beliw average

clear image with auto-focus function. Much better image quality than the other webcam I paid with much higher price which I have returned.

Easy to install and connect. Works well with teams and other apps. Good picture quality and beats trying to adjust my head into the laptop camera.

Sound and picture worked great.

This is a great webcam, especially for the price. Pros: – High-quality construction, as good or better than the big domestic name brands. – Long, sturdy cable. – Excellent audio and video quality. – Works exactly as expected with both Windows and Linux apps (didn’t test with MacOS, but would expect the same results). Cons: – Somewhat limited position adjustment of the camera in its bracket. It would be better if it could be tipped down a bit more when used with higher monitors. – No included software utilities. Not a big deal, would just be a nice-to-have.

I’m happy with this cost-effective purchase. Slightly dissatisfied with the arrangement for positioning it on the top of my monitor — it’s easy to accidentally move it. Plug and play worked easily for me in Windows 7 or windows 10 environments. Currently use is limited to ZOOM meetings.

Ordered Tuesday and received it today. Quick, free delivery to Calif. Small size and rubber pad create a secure mount on the top of my monitor. Plugged in USB to Windows 10 desktop. Opened Zoom app, checked Audio and Video settings, and then had a successful meeting. All done in a few minutes! Audio and video quality were very good. Better than my laptop and as good as my wife’s iMac desktop. The bad reviews may be due to damage during shipment or someone didn’t remove the plastic film protecting the lens(?). I had planned to get a Logitech based on their high reviews but didn’t want to wait and took a chance. I have had success with B&H, so I trusted their product line. No regrets. I hope it holds up.

It does everything a webcam should do. Very easy setup and good video quality. And best of all you can get one too. No waiting for months because it is back ordered.
Judge Ondricka (verified owner) –
Purchased this since it was the only webcam in stock. Quality is pretty good especially considering the cost. Great service like always with B &H.
Judy Considine (verified owner) –
Great camera. Clear image and easy to use. The only feature missing is a lens cap, but it easy to improvise.
Price Wintheiser (verified owner) –
Wow – this was easy to set up and use for a meeting. Great field of view and also nice short focal distance for close ups when required. Mounts to a tripod and worked great with Teams meeting

It adjusts to low light even when you’re not in low light. I look like a marshmallow with eyes. I have tried it with all different types of light. Auto focus is slow, so if you’re not holding still for a while, it doesn’t focus.
