Transform a single USB 3.0 port from a notebook, tablet, or desktop into seven USB 3.0 ports—with two performing double duty as charging ports—with the Powered USB 3.0 Slim Aluminum Hub from Xcellon. Each of the seven ports is outfitted with USB 3.0 technology that enables it to transfer data at rates of up to 5 Gb/s. When used as a stand-alone hub, the two charging ports can each deliver up to 2.4A of current for recharging tablets, smartphones, and other power-hungry devices. Furthermore, the hub is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 interfaces and supports a wide-variety of systems, including Windows, Mac, Chrome, and Linux.
When compared to the previous version, this Xcellon hub features a slimmer design as well as a redesigned power system, which provides a toggle switch and the ability to automatically turn on when the host computer is powered on or restarted. Moreover, the slim design and rubber treads allow the hub to stay upright while unplugging and plugging in USB cables.
Xcellon has constructed this 7-port hub of heat-dissipating aluminum and includes a dual-voltage power adapter for ensuring ample power flows to your USB-connected devices, while reducing the strain on the host system’s components. Aside from power, LED indicators are located next to each port, so you can see the power status of each individual USB port. There’s also an included 3.3′ (1m) USB 3.0 Type-A cable and an included 3.3′ (1m) USB 3.0 Type-C cable that lets you start using this hub right away.

I had many USB Hubs – But the Xcellon 7-Port Powered USB 3.0 Slim Aluminum Hub is the best! Solid and reliable!

I bought this hub to replace three usb-c dongles. I was always short one port with these other adapters, but now I am all set – and I have a usb-c port free! The quick-charging ports are a nice bonus. And did I mention that it sits nice and flat on the desktop?

This is the second high quality USB hub I’ve bought for my new Mac Studio. Both have issues. I think it’s the M1 chip and not the hub. Both hubs (the other was Anker) work fine on my old Mac Pro. But on the Studio, I could only get this one to work when using the included USB-C cable and only in the back, which means it takes up a valuable Thunderbolt port. It will not work with the USB-A ports, though all individual devices will. Very frustrating, but I got it working, and again, I think it’s the Mac, not this hub.

It was just what I needed to plug in all those pesky USB inputs. It is compact enough and feels solid.

It has the ports I wanted but came with no cord to connect it to the Mac mini. Took it to Best Buy and they didn’t know what to do with it either. I will contact B & H and assume this will get worked out.

I purchased this in order to attach multiple spinning drives to my new HP ZBook and it has turned out to be perfect for my needs. The build quality is excellent.

I have just purchased my second Xcellon 10 port USB 3 hub. The first one has been working fine for over four years at this point. The current model has a better on/off switch than the early model. No complaints.

Does the job, and a nice solid, heavy feel that stays put on the desk.

As I have 3 printers, cd player, 2 scanners, & mouse the seven ports work well. I like the power switch so when peripherals not needed they are off, and when the lap top is off, no power drain. As I use 2 different computers, one Macbook Pro with USB C and the other with USB A, connections are easy by switching cables. All connected work well. The are: Epson 850 scanner and workforce 3750, Hp laser printer, Canon Pro 10 printer &9000f II scanner, LG cd player, & optical mouse.

These are REALLY nice quality and since I upgraded my old iMac to one of the newest ones, this device is a life saver for keeping all my old USB devices accessible. Its build quality is top notch and the soft rubber feet keep it from sliding around as I plug and unplug cables. Highly recommended!

Pretty disappointed. I’ve had this for exactly 1 month. I’ve been using it to charge my phone, power an HDMI capture card, and a Focusrite 2i4 interface, all of which had been working relatively well (my phone doesn’t seem to charge from it as much now). I just got a new audio interface today, and even though the light on the interface turns on, there’s no light/response from the hub. The interface doesn’t even show up on my computer. When I plug the interface directly to my computer, it pops up just fine. I switched between the two a few times, same results. I then figured maybe it’s the cable even though this interface is brand new. So I switched to a different USB-C cable that came with a separate capture card, and the hub powered the capture card fine. I then disconnected it and attached my interface, no response. Switched back to the capture card, worked fine. So this is a headache, to say the least.
