This 3-in-1 adapter uses a USB Type-C host connection, and provides USB Type-A, Type-C, and HDMI ports that add functionality and turn your device into a versatile workstation. Transfer data via either USB port, or charge your host device via the Type-C port, which provides up to 60W of power delivery. The HDMI port supports displays with resolutions up to 4K @ 60 Hz as well as the HDR10+ video format. Furthermore, no additional power sources or cables are needed because the Xcellon 3-in-1 HDMI Multiport Adapter is bus-powered and features plug-and-play compatibility.
Please note, the host device must support DP-alt mode for the HDMI output to work.

I have several other Xcellon hubs with USB Type-A connectors, and they have served me well. As I upgrade my equipment, more and more devices are coming with USB Type-C connectors, so I have started to purchase some USB Type-C hubs as well. When I use this hub with my laptop that has only one Type-C port (typically used for charging), I am able to plug the power supply into the Type-C port on the hub to continue supplying power to the laptop. I primarily use this hub to be able to attach a second external monitor via the HDMI port on the hub (it also includes a Type-A port). Cable feels durable with good strain relief collars at each end. This Xcellon 3-in-1 HDMI Multiport Adapter is great for everyday use. It mostly lives with my MacBook Pro and gives me an extra USB type- A connection and allows me to hook up a 4k HDMI monitor. It’s lightweight and it survived my 2-year-old throwing it off my table onto a tile floor. The connection is snug and I don’t feel like it would easily fall out. I tested it out with a Ben Q 4k monitor and an older Lenovo 1080p monitor and it worked great with both. I also like that it is bus-powered and worked immediately without having to install any drivers or software. This adapter is no-frills and does exactly what it needs to. This adapter only worked for a few months then ceased function. I contacted Xcellon about a warranty and they said warranty would take 6-8 weeks. I wish I had shelled out the money for the Apple version up front. Two stars because it did work for a short while.
