Expand your system’s connectivity with the Xcellon 4-Port Slim USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A Hub. With four USB Type-A ports, this hub can be used to connect a variety of peripherals such as flash drives, keyboards, and more. Adhering to USB 3.1 Gen 1 standards, it has data transfer rates of up to 5 Gb/s, so you can spend less time waiting and more time getting things done. Moreover, its slim design makes it easily pocketable for use on-the-go.
Note: This USB hub supports data transfer only. It will not deliver power to devices.

This works really well and really fast – I was surprised at how fast. I love it!

Purchased it to expand my Mac. It works great. Power and data transfer seem to me as good as straight from the computer. I recommend it.

Works well, performs as expected.

Seems to do just fine. The main body’s plastic is not the best quality, however it sits peacefully on my desk under the mere grams of pressure my peripheral’s cords place on it, not in a holster awaiting battle. So, it’s just great. I don’t know what the button does, I am scared to push it. No mention of its function in the manual.

Not much to say, it just works. Note, they are a plastic housing so not aluminum but for the price what would you expect.

This is a must have for anyone looking to add USB ports to their MacBook Pro. I used this as a stopgap measure before a hub with more versatility arrived, but it was exactly what I needed, arrived quickly, and was very reasonable in cost.

Pros: 1) It works, exactly as advertised. 2) Connected devices show no signs of performance changes. 3) Has a light, that indicates that the hub is connected. 4) Just plug it in and it works. Cons: 1) The cord is 6 long, and is pig-tailed connected. You cannot replace it with a longer cord (although you could use a USB extension cord). Neutrals: 1) The casing is plastic. But if feels strong and will not easily crack or break. I would not step on it. But if should be fine for nearly any use. 2) Only one mechanical type, USB powered, hard drive will function at a time. Those mechanical (spinning disks) drives need more power than a SSD (solid state USB drive). This is not the fault of the hub, as the hub derives its power from your computer’s USB port. If you want to connect multiple, mechanical, USB powered drives to a hub, then you will need a hub that plugs into your electrical outlet. But if you are plugging in external USB drives that have their own power source (have their own electrical cords to go to your wall outlets), then this hub will work well. Also, if you are plugging in multiple flash drives, which consume little power, then this hub will work well. My main gripe is the short cable that is connected to the hub. Otherwise, this is a very good hub.

Purchased for my ancient laptop which had a few USB. Used it for connecting USB mouse, BT adapter, and wireless keyboard adapter. Have one spare USB left, which I use for connecting WACOM drawing tablet. Everything works just fine as intended, no heating. Tested with USB external hard drive (4TB WD Passport) – was powerfull enough to power this monster (though I am not intending to connect it all the time to the hub, better to leave it connected directly to a PC).

My not-inexpensive Lenovo laptop only has one USB port, so I bought the Xcellon 4-Port Slim USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A Hub as a simple way to expand my laptop capabilities. It works like a charm with zero issues for me.

Nothing special since it’s only a small hub, but it works as advertised and is great for the price.

Works perfectly and as expected, good item for the price.

I used this hub to expand my Mac Mini’s ability to accept USB 3.0 devices. It works very well. There are no on/off buttons – just plug it in and you’re off to the races. I have not felt any heat on my hub, so it does not seem to overheat, etc. I did not run any speed checks so I am unable to comment on its functionality when it is being hit several times, all at once with multiple drives, for example. It works well to power devices as well.

Inexpensive, small works so far, no issues. Use it in a custom tether case.

I had my doubts because of the low price. It does not work with Hard Drives that need power, but all of my drives use external power so I thought I would give it a chance. I am very pleased. I have a keyboard and three drives running through this 4-Port Hub and they all work perfectly
