Expand your system’s connectivity with the Xcellon 4-Port Slim USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C Hub. With four USB Type-A ports, this hub can be used to connect a variety of peripherals such as flash drives, keyboards, and more. Adhering to USB 3.1 Gen 1 standards, it has data transfer rates of up to 5 Gb/s, so you can spend less time waiting and more time getting things done. Moreover, its slim design makes it easily pocketable for use on-the-go.
Note: This USB hub supports data transfer only. It will not deliver power to devices.

Although it may slow down transfers somewhat, this is a very cost-effective device for increasing USB port access on any computer with USB 3.0 and 3.1 ports

See the headline. What else do you need to know?

I was looking for an inexpensive usb multi-port hub. it is sometimes glitchy as peripherals don’t always mount to desktop.

I’m powering a telescope setup and running USB connections from this to my laptop. Works perfect so far.

I opted for this when looking for a simple hub for my 2012 Macbook Pro. It works as one would expect. Zero issues so far.

I would give it a 5 star, but the only issue I have with it is the stiffness of the cable. It tilts the hub on its side and you need to force it to stay flat on the table surface. I manage to ease the stiffness by using a hairdryer to warm the cable a bit, it was easier to manage after that. As a hub, it is great! No need for external power supply and support USB 3.0 on 4 devices at the same time!, Go get one!!

Does what it is supposed to do and is a great value.

Works perfectly. It provides me with extra USB 3.1 ports.

ok

This hub does what it’s supposed to, especially when laptops don’t provide nearly enough ports these days. A seven or ten-hub product may be more useful for a desktop computer.

Simple to use. Plug in the USB to the computer and now you have additional USB ports. LED light on the unit lets you know it has power and is active.

just does the trick

This hub allowed me to connect my peripherals to my desk top without having to attach the USB cables from them to the computer each time I want to use those components.

This hub died almost exactly two years after I installed it. Clearly, it wasn’t engineered for durability. I have to wonder how many of its five-star reviews were written soon after the users received it. There are other annoying things about it. There’s no way to fasten it in place, so the torquing forces from multiple USB cables plugged into it tend to tip it over, forcing the user to twist it to move it back into position, which means it usually requires two-handed operation-one hand to hold it firmly in place, and the other to plug in another cable or USB flash drive. And speaking of flash drives, shortly before the unit failed completely, it refused to mount a 128 GB flash drive on the desktop. I wouldn’t have thought it would be an especially challenging task to design and manufacture a USB hub that just works, but successful completion of that goal has clearly eluded the makers of this device. If you require reliability in your peripherals, steer clear of this hub.

Works good, the only drawback is that the cord is just a few inches too short to be used on anything but a laptop.

Fantastic to add more 3.1USB and to add greater length for your other added devices.

Because I am trying to keep two aging machines going, I find that I have too few USB outlets to use. To do a mini-upgrade and increase the amount of USB 3 plugins available to me, I purchased this Xcellon model. It installed in seconds and handles the three devices I have plugged into the hub without issues. I liked the first so much that I purchased a second and now have both machines in my office hubbed for USB 3.0. On/Off button means you don’t have to hot swap unless you want to….which you certainly can without a problem. Unit comes well-packaged and installs in seconds. I compared a bunch of these hubs and found this one to be as good as the top models but at a fraction of the price.
