Expand your system’s connectivity with the Xcellon 4-Port Slim USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C Hub. With four USB Type-A ports, this hub can be used to connect a variety of peripherals such as flash drives, keyboards, and more. Adhering to USB 3.1 Gen 1 standards, it has data transfer rates of up to 5 Gb/s, so you can spend less time waiting and more time getting things done. Moreover, its slim design makes it easily pocketable for use on-the-go.
Note: This USB hub supports data transfer only. It will not deliver power to devices.

I use this on my Sony VAIO PC, running on Windows 7 Ultimate. (VPCA151A11L), which has Intel Sandybridges i7-3612QM, 12GB of DDR3 RAM (1333mHz), a 480GB SanDisk Extreme Pro SSD, and Nvidia Geforce GT 640M LE graphics (2GB GDDR4). One of my two USB 3.0 ports is kinda faulty, so I needed this to make better use of my 1 remaining port as this computer has been used rigorously since 2012. I don’t have USB 3.1, but this will still function for USB 3.0 connections. = What I like about this hub is that it’s simple and straight to the point. You plug it in and there’s a push button to turn it on and off. I’ve tested the speed of 2 things, transferring files (copy/move) on a portable USB 3.0 HDD and a USB 3.0 SDHC/CF card reader, directly to the port and through the hub to the same port. It is consistent, at least in my experiences. What I don’t like about it Absolutely nothing. It’s giving me the freedom to use more devices than before and expand my usage of USB 3.0.

Great USB Hub, we use it in a commercial environment and we have yet to have port issues like with other brands.

Down to one usb port on the back of my iMac, I was getting tired of fishing around trying to find the port by brail and getting the connection clocked correctly when connecting a drive or a card reader. This little jewel fixed all that jazz, sitting out front and center in plain sight, Ahhh, that’s better. This hub has a power indictor light (cool beans) and a power switch button that one must be careful not to touch when one doesn’t want the power to shut down accidentally, perhaps a small slide switch would have ben a better design trick. As a note: I haven’t used this with multiple devises connected or operating at the same time, so I don’t know (at this time) how this animal would behave under those conditions.

Works as advertised, having the extra connections is a significant improvement, and knowing that it will handle the higher USB 3.1 speeds is what I was after.

I have only one USB 3.0 port on my laptop and any USB peripheral attached to the HUB won’t show on the computer. It would work on a USB 2.0 port, but that doesn’t help me.

Easy to connect multiple devices.

I attempted to utilize this with my Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) with a wireless mouse adapter plugged into it as well as an external hard drive. If anything other than the mouse and a single flash drive were connected, such as the aforementioned hard drive, the mouse would have connection issues likely due to power draw from the other devices. For reference, I have a much older Targus USB 2.0 4-port hub and had no issues with the mouse, but with two external hard drives connected and transferring files from one to the other, the drive being copied from kept disconnecting and reconnecting. That same drive would not cooperate with with mouse wireless adapter using this hub; the mouse was barely usable and kept jumping all over the screen.

I was easily able to backup my computer. I am still learning how to manage the data.

I like the way that this device works. Fits snuggly into USB port on my Macbook Pro. Very Stable, able to access, copy, save as quickly.

I had my doubts because of the low price. It does not work with Hard Drives that need power, but all of my drives use external power so I thought I would give it a chance. I am very pleased. I have a keyboard and three drives running through this 4-Port Hub and they all work perfectly

Worked initially but less than a year later one of the ports has extensive signs of corrosion. Unplugging all devices from this as I would prefer to keep my device functioning rather than shorting.

The hub does what it is suppose to do. I’ve been using it for over 3 months with no issues.

So I’m not sure what’s going on with this hub. I have an elgato and it requires a USB 3.0 connection. I specifically purchased this hub to connect my elgato external video capture card. However, upon connecting the video capture card, it didn’t work and the message says I need to disconnect all hubs because a USB 3.0 connection is required. So I don’t get it. I don’t know if this USB hub is truly 3.0.
