Make sure your business has all the tools it needs with this WorkCentre 6515/DNI All-in-One Color Laser Printer from Xerox with printing, scanning, copying, and faxing capabilities. A very capable printer, it features a maximum resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi for sharp documents as well as impressive speeds of up to 30 ppm in simplex or 18 ppm in duplex. It also features a variety of methods for handling media, including a 250-sheet standard input tray and a 50-sheet bypass tray. Additionally, if connected to a network through the Ethernet port or the built-in Wi-Fi, users can even print remotely from their mobile devices.
Scanning, copying, and faxing are made possible through the implementation of an 8.5 x 11.7″ flatbed as well as the 50-sheet single-pass duplexing ADF that supports media up to 8.5 x 14″. This scanner unit features an optical resolution of 600 x 600 dpi and even has a built-in OCR for creating searchable documents. Along with these features, a color touchscreen is present for intuitive operation while a front USB port allows users to print from and scan to a portable storage device. Additionally, the printer comes equipped with a standard USB 3.0 interface for direct connection to a computer.

We have 2 of these 6515 printers, they print well, lots of network options, high quality prints, everything works good until………… One big pitfall, is the printer is VERY finicky with paper type/size options. It can be a hassle if you are not technically minded. You will get lots of issues where you have to go to the printer itself after starting a print, and do manual configuration. Then go back, re-print and hope you got it right. A major issue and a big one at that, is typically a laser printer have the advantage of long lasting prints of many pages, over inkjets. This one, NOT SO. These 2 printers go through toner so quick. We use Xerox toner through their Xerox eConcierge program . I really like the program, it reminds you what to order on all your Xerox printers. The downfall, is Xerox toner is so expensive and does not last long. At this rate, it is nearly as cheap to cheap keep re-purchasing the printer itself again. One good note, the Xerox eConcierge keeps your printer in a lifetime of warranty, and they have been great with that when we had hardware issues with the printers. A side note, we also have two 6027 printers. Same issue with toner on these as well. The toner has a very short life span. I do NOT have this toner problem with HP, Konica Minolta, and Kyocera printers. They have GREAT long lasting toner life.

This Xerox printer has been a joy! I am going on 53 years old and I have gone through many printers…the last 3 of them color laser, yet I have never been so excited to own a true zerox printer with all the features I would expect from an awesome name without the extreme price tag . It has been a joy & ease to work with! The suites of software makes it so easy to use on all of my platforms…windows, Macintosh mac book Pro, Ipad Pro, Iphones & Andriod Phones!!! I have had it for about 8 months and have yet too change a cartridge. From my understanding the unit comes with standard yelled cartridges, I have high yield cartridges sitting and waiting, my yellow, cyan, and magenta are still at 75% and my black is at 49%. Try to find another printer manufacturer that would give you so much yield on the trial shipping cartridges. One last note, the printer itself is really nice looking, impressive touch screen display, and is extremely quiet as we use it and have it in our living room where we spend most of our time. thank you, Xerox!!!

The printer does what it should. I have been spoiled on HP Printers until I bought this one. The reason for the change – this one has a drum so the old drum can be discarded and replaced. HP has eliminated the drum on their printers – bad idea but makes the printer lighter. The biggest issue with this printer is the software. It does not like working to its potential when there is another similar printer of a different brand. The other issue is double sided. Again this is a software issue – the printer will either print double sided automatically or not – there is no way to override this. If this were changed, it would be a 5 star printer.

While the cost was very reasonable, the functionality was extremely high. I can print, I can scan, I can send to email, I can scan to a PDF file on my computer. I can control the size of the image, color, single or dual sided printing or copying. This is a fully functioning work-center. The same functionality can be found in printers four time the cost of this one. I am amazed at its price,

I have tried many times to setup the email and scan and wifi features and none of them work even though it shows wifi and email is there. I really dont know what else to do and i could not recommend this product to anyone else.

This printer was an excellent price and works well when we can manage to get it working. We have 4 of these and have made multiple calls to customer service, had multiple service visits, and have had technical assistance take remote charge of our computers to try to get these to work. I believe we still have at least one open service call. I am not sure why the technicians are not able to correct our issues more quickly. We currently have one that is only set up to FAX, as we have not been able to get it to SCAN to anything but a USB. So this employee still has her old printer hooked up for scanning and the Xerox is hooked up for Faxing. Some are hard wired to our PC, and one is only used as a wireless printer, but some can’t do both. I spent over 3 hours on the phone trying to get mine to duplex (the DN version.) I also can’t get it to SCAN to my computer. The technician never solved the issue, but I was able to find a setting the next morning that made it work, only after no less than 3 drivers were installed on my computer. He never got back with me. Maybe it is just the technical assistance that is lacking. I cannot believe they do not install more easily than they do. Each of our printer seems to have a different issue and we are just learning to work around each issue as we have not been able to get them solved. One day when I have plenty of energy and time to spend, I will make another call and try to get one of them working correctly. We have had these printers for too long to still be having these issues.

You will want to make sure you have an accurate print driver version/update so that your device responds the way you expect it to, overall it is a good value for the print quality & flexibility it offers. Get the basics down for the type of printing, copying, faxing, scanning that you ordinarily do and you’ll be pleased with the results.
