I have tried 3 brands of laser color MFP in the last 9years. I returned the HP after about a month because of connectivity that over 3 hours of HP tech support could not rectify. The Xerox works amazing, wish I had skipped all the other brands and started with Xerox!

I upgraded our home printer to the WorkCentre 6515 and have been thoroughly impressed by the ease of use. I was able to set it up fairly simply, except for the drivers in which I had to call the Customer Support (who went above and beyond to help me!) The machine works beautifully, printing pictures, manuals, and everything in between! I LOVE the wireless printing option and find it very easy to send even large jobs to the printer straight from my phone. Honestly, the quality of the print job and the speed in which it prints, I just could not imagine going back to a smaller model of printer!!

It is a solid printer, could be easier to use though.

I really like printing from my phone

I have two of these; one at office (usb) and at home (WiFi). The machine prints well and good quality. But I’ve spent WAY TOO MUCH TIME with Xerox tech (worthless and they only point fingers at everything other than the machine as to why scanning won’t work) and with my company tech support to try to find a work around to get scanning to work and be stable. If all one wants is a printer = great; scanning not so much.

In 15 years this is my 3rd Xerox and the last two in the past 5 years. Xerox printers have become less reliable with each new printer I have purchased. this WorkCentre 6515 will be the last Xerox I purchase.

The product has great features that are perfect for my home office needs; all in a compact size. The print quality is excellent. The only real issue I have is that it was difficult to set up the scan to a computer. The technician who set up and installed the device spent about 3 hours configuring the device.

I love our printer so easy and smooth to use, its fast quite, printing and copy docs has a very good quality and smoothness, we are still using the toner that it was sent went it arrived and its been 6 months already I totally love it!! we purchase 2 for the office but I am planning to buy one for home. I totally recommend it!!!!

The first time it failed was pretty much out of the box. Xerox sent a technician who spent half a day replacing some boards. Now after 1.5 years – the scanning module quit. Didn’t expect such a poor quality from Xerox. If you buy – get extended warranty, 1-year warranty is a joke..

Good machine but there are jam ups no clear directions how to clear them

I am a Xerox employee and am very impressed with this device. This device provides you with all the features and more when compared to the C405. The print quality is higher (1200×2400 DPI). The downside is the lack of connectkey technology and the lack of a DADF If you want to scan with the device go with the 405, if you want higher quality prints go with the 6515.

Having had a few genuine Xerox printers in the past and having been extremely pleased with them, I decided that my new printer would be Xerox, period. My last Xerox was about 8 years old and was not affordably repairable anymore. If it had been, I would have repaired it because it was great, even though so old. After researching several Xerox printers and speaking with a very knowledgeable Xerox sales rep I decided on the WorkCentre 6515. It had all the features I needed (speed, affordable per-print cost, networking, assignable trays, etc.) just like my former Xeroxes, but newer, faster, better…right? No. This stupid printer has been nothing but a PITA. Impossible to tell which tray it’s going to print from. In order to print from a specific tray you assign a paper type to each tray, just like in my old Xerox. However, because tray assignments apparently do not work reliably–even though it confirms (for example) I have set Tray 1 to Letterhead, it might just print from the tray assigned to Plain Paper. So, you have to do what should be a simple, 2-click task–force the printer to print from a certain tray number. But instead, when you press Print on your computer from, say, Word, you have to scroll down the print menu to More Settings. THEN, you have to scroll down to Print Using System Dialog, THEN you have to click Preferences, which opens the Xerox Print Dialog, then select the dropdown for Paper, then choose Select By Tray, then click the tray you want, then press OK, then choose your quantity of copies, then press print, hoping none of the settings in the previous print dialogs take precedence over what you just set. In our office, it is normal practice now to have to print a single document at least twice to get what we wanted printed on the correct paper. We often just load the same paper in both trays before we print (yes, this is a PITA to leave one’s desk to change the paper in the printer each time). E.g. If we’re printing on Letterhead, we load letterhead paper in both trays before we print–that way when it screws up, at least we don’t waste the ink and letterheads. Don’t forget to take the extra letterhead out of the printer, or the next person’s prints may be on the wrong paper. Oh, if you have to print like 100 copies of something, forget about printing a test copy to make sure it’s right, because even if you get the test copy to print right, when you go to print the remaining 99, you have to go through all the setup again or it will print in the wrong tray. If you are unfortunate enough to have purchased this POS here’s a user tip: if you’re printing duplex (two-sided) on a Letterhead, you have to load the paper face down because the printer will print page 2 before printing page 1 (meaning page 2 will be printed on the masthead side, and page 1 on the blank side). Avoid this machine!

The graphics and photo applications are better than expected, this is a great all around home and business printer full of all the features you could ask for. And, it does them excellently!

I looked for a color laser printer and had settled on an HP all-in-one product. I was disappointed with the darkness of any print of a photo, and tried all the adjustments I could find to make the print out closer to the on screen image, all to no avail. I had had a Xerox Phaser in the past which did a great job of traditional color laser print jobs – eg business graphics, charts etc but was not good with photos. I saw a review of the Workcentre 6515 which indicated it would do a good job with photos, so I took the chance and bought it. It does a great job! Printing from our Macs creates great looking prints of both photos and business style graphics. Be aware that this is an 80lb package, and the printer itself is over 60lbs but that’s the only downside.

this is the second xerox printer I have owned, the other one is a phaser and it is still working at home

It just works… In the past I had a Xerox printer, a separate scanner, and hardware to get it all on the network. Now the All in One, does it, and it does it better than before. I did not think I would use some of the apps and features.. but as time went by I started to see how they could improve my work flow ( hard to change old habits ) A added plus is now others can scan, fax, print without needing my help. And if I have a question great tech support is just a phone call way.

My WC 6515 produces excellent print and scans well. It’s a really step up from an ink jet printer. The setup with my home system is highly challenging because the instructions are not detailed enough for a normal home business user. It effectively assumes you have a mini-IT department in your home business. Also, it requires passwords on all networked systems, something not explained in the instructions, and knowledge of configuration settings such as IP addresses and specific port #s. None of these data are hard to find if you know where to look, but the accompanying instructions do not provide enough information to determine those if you don’t set up systems such as these on a recurring basis.
