Make sure your business has all the tools it needs with this WorkCentre 6515/DNI All-in-One Color Laser Printer from Xerox with printing, scanning, copying, and faxing capabilities. A very capable printer, it features a maximum resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi for sharp documents as well as impressive speeds of up to 30 ppm in simplex or 18 ppm in duplex. It also features a variety of methods for handling media, including a 250-sheet standard input tray and a 50-sheet bypass tray. Additionally, if connected to a network through the Ethernet port or the built-in Wi-Fi, users can even print remotely from their mobile devices.
Scanning, copying, and faxing are made possible through the implementation of an 8.5 x 11.7″ flatbed as well as the 50-sheet single-pass duplexing ADF that supports media up to 8.5 x 14″. This scanner unit features an optical resolution of 600 x 600 dpi and even has a built-in OCR for creating searchable documents. Along with these features, a color touchscreen is present for intuitive operation while a front USB port allows users to print from and scan to a portable storage device. Additionally, the printer comes equipped with a standard USB 3.0 interface for direct connection to a computer.

Primary usage for the 6515 is proofing for documents/collaterals that go to our printer and in-house publications. When set up correctly, the color proofing is very good and representative of what we will get back from the printer. (The software interface and functionality could be better, it is not intuitive.) The supplies (toner cartridges) are suprisingly long-lasting and easy to install. Scanning feature works well, however, the scanning software interface leaves something to be desired. Overall, I would recommend this printer.

This printer is great for any small to medium business. It can scan, print, fax, copy, send to email addresses or contacts and be shared across your network. The manual is very complete with precise instructions and good diagrams. The web interface used to manage the printer is easy to use and simple. If you need a printer that can do all these, this is the one to pick. The small footprint makes it easy to place just anywhere you have enough room. It is really simple to maintain and keep going. Along with using the package the replacement toner comes in and the prepaid labels, recycling is very easy and simple.

Let me just say this is an outstanding addition to Xerox’s Home Office Suite of Multi function Printers. This unit replaces my former Xerox 6505 DN multi function work station printer. I have been especially happy with Xerox’s product support and willingness to resolve a problem I was having with my old 6505 unit. LOVE IT BUT CAN’T PRINT PHOTOS; YOU HAVE NO SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUCH AWESOME FUNCTION. ALSO, THE PRINTER IS UNABLE TO FEED PHOTO GLOSSY SHEETS AND THEN IT STARTED TO JAM…AND JAM…AND JAM; NOW IT JUST WONT PRINT DUE TO THE CONTINUOUS JAM. Overall this is a great home office printer, there are some things I wish it would do faster. I work with larger files, and the processing speed is really slow, taking up to a couple of minutes before it will print out. The speed of the actual print once that is done, is just fine! The menu navigation feels clunky, and is not at all like more smart phone styled menu systems that I am used to on printers both in the home office, and small office scale. With such a small screen it means the screen must change multiple times to do some basic tasks. For example; entering in your account information so it can utilize the email function, or to reprint a prior job. Navigating through 4 or 5 screens to do it. It works! I just wish it worked a little smoother in operation and gave more options per screen, or had a pop out screen overlay that accepted my information, and returned me to the prior ‘page’ showing the updated information so I knew it accepted correctly. The printer itself is very sturdy, prints great quality for what it is, and the type of paper I’m using. I put in some glossy stock, and the print was fabulously smooth and working with the color profiles went extra smoothly to get it to work and work with my photoshop. The color prints look beautiful as close as possible to the image on screen that is emitting light. I was impressed! I feel confident that sending out any graphic design work will be a breeze with this machine providing proof printouts. Printer set up with the system went smoothly, and we did not run into any issues getting it onto the network. We can print now from any PC in the home, any tablet, and our phones. We’ve already printed out an instruction manual and recipe book for our bread maker that did not come with one. Looked great, and with a higher page count for home use, it output quickly with two sided printing. The scan feature works well, even with scan to email out to another address! I’ve taken care of a health appointment and insurance information submissions via the feature and they received everything just fine. For the toner cartridges, it is extremely impressive how they go into the machine, compared to other large name brand machines I’ve had over the years. I live with a xerox tech, so I did get a little extra rundown of how everything works – but in all honesty, I’m impressed with the way the cartridges were handled and built into the machine and the ease of which they can be replaced. While I personally have a few menu reservations and wish processing large files was a little faster, the rest of the machine is well built, and does it’s job really well. I don’t regret going with this printer, and hope that in time I’ll learn the navigation and get faster at doing what I need to without a hitch!

I do not recommend this product to anyone that don’t have a back ground in knowing printers. It is not user friendly. It does not set up easy. I am still trying to get the scan part of it to work properly after using it for 30 days. The printing speed is very slow. The print quality is okay.

This product replaces a Xerox Color solid ink Phaser printer I had for about 14 years. The speed of this WorkCentre 6515 is far faster than my previous printer since it uses toner instead of solid ink that first must be heated to meltIng temperature before it can print. However, I do miss the superb vividness of the color from the solid ink. On the other hand, the 6515 toner colors are better than that from a competitor’s laser printer I also use. The basic setup of print, copy, scan, and fax was very easy using the setup wizard. However, advance features such as scan to email, scan to shared folder and scan to desktop were more complicated and troublesome to set up. The sheet feeder works fine as long as the pages inserted are not creased or crumpled. I would prefer a larger standard input tray. The 6515 has a 350-page capacity. My previous Xerox Phaser had a 500-page Input tray. However, an optional 500-page tray is available. The price was great for the many features and quality of a Xerox printer. I especially like the eConcierge Service for supplies and service.

Works as advertised. Great quality printing and scanning. Was easy to get started with (for a full service printer). Works for home office and kids homework assignments and misc. print out needs. Good scanning capability. Not as fast as office printer, but that one is 10x the size too. Much better than any inkjet printer. Love the fact that it can do 2 sided printing. Please note that the wifi dongle has to be purchased separately. Still have to figure out how to get kids computer (Chromebook) on this using wifi (which is why the one star minus. )

I am a retired pastor. A church I used to pastor had a Xerox printer that was just spectacular in its print quality and production ability. We had the ability to produce full color material in quantity and the price per page was very low. I have since retired and started a business. As I thought back with disgust on all the low quality printers from other manufactures i had purchased over the years I remembered that great Xerox printer. But I always assumed that Xerox would be out of my ability to afford. I decided to check out the Xerox price and was amazed how little I had to pay for a true business quality printer. I ordered a WorkCenter 6515 and it did impress. Perfect prints every time. Fast and reliable. I am now regretting all the money I wasted on other printer brands. I really should have known better.
