Make sure your business has all the tools it needs with this WorkCentre 6515/DNI All-in-One Color Laser Printer from Xerox with printing, scanning, copying, and faxing capabilities. A very capable printer, it features a maximum resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi for sharp documents as well as impressive speeds of up to 30 ppm in simplex or 18 ppm in duplex. It also features a variety of methods for handling media, including a 250-sheet standard input tray and a 50-sheet bypass tray. Additionally, if connected to a network through the Ethernet port or the built-in Wi-Fi, users can even print remotely from their mobile devices.
Scanning, copying, and faxing are made possible through the implementation of an 8.5 x 11.7″ flatbed as well as the 50-sheet single-pass duplexing ADF that supports media up to 8.5 x 14″. This scanner unit features an optical resolution of 600 x 600 dpi and even has a built-in OCR for creating searchable documents. Along with these features, a color touchscreen is present for intuitive operation while a front USB port allows users to print from and scan to a portable storage device. Additionally, the printer comes equipped with a standard USB 3.0 interface for direct connection to a computer.

I bought this printer for my husband, who is doing his dissertation. While most work is done on the computer, printing and editing for him has been easier with printed material. We had the usual ink jet printer that would constantly need a new cartridge. So, I decided it was time to step up the printer in our home office. We chose the Workcenter 6515 DNI. I wanted a printer that would allow him to connect whatever device was needed with ease. I especially like being able to print duplex. Knowing we’re saving in paper cost is a great feeling. I can see using this printer for years to come as we both finish our terminal degrees. Setting up the printer was so easy thanks to the manual and finding others who have set it up on YouTube. My husband was able to unbox the unit and have it working within an hour. It’s worked with no issues for about three weeks. This was such an easy purchase and it was delivered directly to my door within days of the purchase. Thank you Xerox, for helping me, my husband, and hopefully saving a few trees.

Despite cleaning the rollers. rollers and as well as whole feeder assembly replaced by technician there still issue of stops scanning and sometime grabs multiple papers. Need to stare at during the scanning to make sure it does not grab multiple papers during scanning..

It appears the IP address is a huge secret. Whenever I find it, it is not a good one and it indicates there is a problem with comunicating with Xerox. I am not on a meter program and often I get a message that it cannot communicate with Xerox. Dah!!! When I went on line to find out how to change those settings, I find it is wanting me to give my IP address. It appears it is dynamic and not static. I have sent many, many hours trying to fix this problem, to no avail. The machine is just finicky. Too many problems to tell here. If I can figure its quirks, I may begin to love it.

Previously I owned 3 Xerox Colorqube or predecessors for the last 20+ years and nothing compares to them. The Workcenter 6515 has at time issues with communicating and its probably a software issue but the color is not to my satisfaction… Very disappointed… Ill probably use cheap ink in the future once I run through the Xerox inks I purchased and then i’ll park this printer till I find something better.

When i recently bought the printer, it was working marvelously. 4.5 stars i would have rated, only .5 less than the max because printing quality of pictures is not the greatest. However, after a couple of months the printer stopped waking when sending print jobs. The printer stopped waking even when pressing the power button. After searching online, it looks like it’s a very common issue with this printer. I tried upgrading firmware, and changing local PC settings (remember, having the same configs before worked well, but i tried anyway), but nothing has worked. To get the printer to work i have to disconnect it, yes, disconnect it, and then power it back up. Then it starts working again. Terrible!

No guidance how to use the different features. The weakness is not the printer, it’s the very poor instruction manual.
