At first glance, you see a small cube, but you don’t think much about it, what could it possibly offer that I have seen before. Maybe it is the intelligent power saver that warms that readies the machine when I need it or the ability to print from enabled smartphone or that it knows to ask when I’m scanning from the glass, if I want add another page. I’m just not which of those features impressed me the most, but what I do know is that there it is, sitting silently, reliably, waiting for me.

Xerox.. Come over and look at my 8 inch pile of “Guest User” prints of wasted paper. All of a sudden… the printer clicks on and a “guest user” My Ghost prints out 80 pages… 50 pages.. 76 pages… It’s a Garbage Printer. Xerox should be a master of making printers… They are a Master as making cheap garbage printers

Trying to print #10 envelopes. Only allows A6. Cannot change settings. Tried to get support to help, they wanted $$ to provide a simple answer.

I started out with a disappointment – the extra tray did not work. I contacted Xerox technical support and the next day a technician was here and had the problem solved in 20 minutes. Awesome service and the machine has worked flawlessly ever since. Scanning and copying materials is a breeze and images can be saved to local storage such as a thumb drive but also over the network. On the subject of the network, the 6515 was easy to set up and I have not needed to return to make changes. The touch screen makes performing any task easy and you can organize the icons to your own personal preference. The quality of prints is excellent and the toner lasts well. Changing toner couldn’t be easier and you are not going to end up with toner all over your hands. Other printers that I have owned have struggled with very dry air in winter and/or high humidity in the summer. I’ve owned the 6515 long enough to experience both conditions and the printer has remained sure and steady. In all the time I’ve owned the machine I’ve experienced one paper jam. Solving that was a breeze thanks to easily removed panels that make removing paper from the print path really easy. Would I recommend this printer. Absolutely. For the price I don’t think you could find a more feature rich multifunction machine with this level of reliability. Add to that the amazing support Xerox provides and you can’t go wrong with this choice.

Desktop scanning was a bit difficult to get working and occasionally the driver has issues and throws postscript errors. Otherwise a solid color MFP.

We bought this printer hoping to solve our problems with our old one BUT you have to keep calling support to do anything on this machine. No instruction book came with it and we have asked for a rep to stop bye and explain the functions but tech support says NO just continue to call them. Waited almost 40 minutes on hold to talk to someone.

Purely as a printer, it is OK. Excellent print quality and adequate speed. This product is, however, problematic. It gets into “Device Fault” state more often than acceptable. The available diagnostics are not helpful. I end up having to power cycle the printer typically once a week. The other problem is the scanner. When it is working, it is a great scanner. Very fast and great image quality for both b&w and color. The dual scanner allows for quick dual-sided scanning. However, once the scanning element on the feeder breaks, it does not offer a proper diagnostic. If you try to use the double-sided scanner, the iOS app (Mobile Link) just hangs and you need to power cycle the printer. It took me a while to figure this out. I tried searching for ways to repair the scanner, unsuccessfully. I cannot recommend this product.

While I have been happy with Xerox printers in the past, this device which has been more expensive then my other printers has been less than satisfying. The initial set up and follow-up service requests still have left me with only being able to function about half of this machines functionality. I have been escalated to additional departments and with no avail in solving issues that this device has had since day 1. The overall print functionality stands alone as the only feature that has been consistent and of high quality. I have been unable to use a majority of network functions with little accountability to get resolved. I am in the market for several more small business MFPs and will not be using this brand going forward.

This machine finds far too many reasons not to complete a job not present in comparable machines. For example, it demands that the user specify the paper type as it it had no native ability to determine this. aND, EVEN ONCE PAPER IS SPECIFIED, IT MAY NOT ACCEPT THE JOB. The device also often interupts a job with a message, such as too many jobs present, that is not easy to clear. The user interface is non-intuitive and unlike that of comparable machines. Capabilities that should be in the background, such as the ability to establish accounts for indivudal users, are up-front and frequently interfere with a single-user use of the machine. The web-based capabilities are difficult to acces and dolcumentatrion is poor. A poor fifth place finish compared to a comparable HP or other machine. I will soon rplace this with a simpler, easy to use product from, a competitor. Not for the single user – only for an office filled with people who can take the time and trouble to learn Xerox’s uniquely complicated approach to a simple machine!!!

I’ve had generally good experience using this printer for about 6 months. I purchased it used but it had only printed about 1500 pages at the time. It is much larger than the typical home printer and very heavy as well, so keep that in mind if considering this printer. Setup was fairly easy. Paper feed has not been a problem. Toner cartridges have a large capacity and look easy to access, though I haven’t needed to replace any yet. I love that in one pass it can scan both sides of pages that are 2-sided. The printer’s “website” user interface is about the best interface I’ve ever seen, though it still has functions missing. The onboard color control panel is also on of the best I have used – better than any home printer I’ve had before – though navigating it can still be a bit challenging, and some functions are either hard to find, non-intuitive, or non-existent. Problems I have had: (1) sometimes the printer decides for some users that it is offline and will not print. At the same time, other users are still able to print. None of the Xerox or Windows troubleshooting will correct this flaw. Restarting the printer and the computer will not fix this flaw. After extensive digging online I eventually found instructions in a forum on steps to take that involve editing advanced settings to disable “print offline” (which sounds counterintuitive) and this cleared the error. This error did come back but once the secret process has been uncovered I was able to repeat the steps and get the unit working again. (2) The printer has a bypass tray that enables printing envelopes, but the first 4 I tried all jammed at the same spot and had to be removed from the paper feeder, partly printed. I was feeding a letter envelope lengthwise. I thought about trying to feed it the landscape direction but the feeder is slightly too narrow to try this. Turning to online forum searches I found a tip to deliberately flatten and squeeze all the air out of the envelope by pressing it between books right before feeding it, and I finally got an envelope to print without jamming. I’ve had printers that would print envelopes without ever jamming on them, and never had to press the envelopes or prepare them in any way, so it seems reasonable to expect envelopes to just pass through without such prep. (3) I have my desk/home office area set up in my bedroom. When the printer is in sleep mode the power button periodically cycles bright, and from time to time some component cycles on and off, and these events are bright enough and loud enough to wake you up. So you need to turn it off if you don’t want these annoyances. In an isolated office/workspace it could be left on all the time if you’re not bothered by the energy this uses and the noises. Bottom line – though it could be improved, this is a pretty good printer that I would recommend and would buy again.

I own a small business and this printer is perfect! Ink is reasonably priced and toner seems to be lasting a good amount of time.

I have had this printer for quite a few years. The GUI looks excellent but is very difficult to navigate, it’s a shame. I have given up on my password, which the printer stop accepting over a year ago. I tried all the suggested fixes, to no avail. I would appreciate Xerox’s help. I would be willing to change my stance on not recommending.

We’ve had this printer a few months and the toner is holding out surprising well. The cartridges are expensive and look small, but seem to last much better than the ones for our old HP. Duplex printing saves some money on paper, too, and the duplex scanning is convenient. I have found the software intuitive and straightforward. I still think the print quality could be just a little sharper, but overall I am still happy.

My WorkCentre 6515 dpes a beautiful job in print. I am disapointed that the toner is so expensive. One set of toner cartridges cost more then the printer and it will not accept re-manufactured or generic cartridges.

I have been a fan of Xerox of years and the Workcentre 6515 re-enforces my choice perfectly. It was a snap to set up and has never had an issue. Everyone I know hates their printer, but every Xerox I have owned has been super reliable.
