The print quality from this machine is wonderful. Getting the machine to print consistently is abysmal. The problem is accessing and setting the software and driver to North American default paper sizes etc. There are so many locations to ensure the default settings are on the machine that it becomes a ongoing chore. In a multi-user environment there will be many times that a user sends a print signal for a PDF that was created to European specs and sizes. This holds the machine in error mode and prevents other users from printing until someone walks over to the machine and cancels the job. In many cases the machine is waiting for confirmation of a specific paper size when that is the default letter size paper that is in the drawer. This machine is not worth the trouble to install in a multi user environment where clients are printing files from multiple computers. The problem seems to be tied to PDF files that are created outside of North America. In our research environment this happens daily since we access medical journals from all over. Definitely a finicky printer that has far more options than is needed and has a difficult troubleshooting mechanism. Also, when faxing the status (ringing, connecting, sending, etc) is not shown. !!! Why in gods name would this information not be shown????! After hearing the dialing and connection there is only silence until a faint click after all pages are sent So very stupid. This will be the last Xerox unit I ever recommend for purchase.

Printer has really nice quality to the final pieces. I am very pleased with it overall. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it really goes through the ink. It says a cartridge should get 4300 copies, but I am not getting anywhere near that, and the toner is expensive. I would not recommend printing a high volume of pieces on it for that reason. But great for smaller jobs of less than maybe 100 or so.

It is full featured and easy to set up (I didn’t need tech. support). It was practically set up as soon as I unpacked it. It hasn’t had any problems since I got it. Perfect for a home based business like mine. Great product and Great price.

I am afraid to open covers for fear of breaking them off. Operator interface is unnecessarily busy and complicated. Either standard setting or the settings our OM set up are really ridiculous: print two sided (on very thin paper), order of function access on screen, need to press “wake up”, “Home”, “Copy”, “Start” to make one quick copy, rather than just walk up and push the “start” button, etc. This thing is half the size of our old printer. Good in that it takes up less space. Bad in that it could be blown off the counter by a stiff wind. I think it is a matter of time before it smashes on the floor, or breaks from standard use. This printer replaced a very robust and bulletproof all-in-one. Our “Office Manager” killed it unnecessarily with aftermarket cartridges. She saved a buck or two per cartridge, but it cost us print quality immediately, and a much better printer after about a half-dozen “cheap” cartridges. She replaced the good printer with this cheap replacement that saved us a couple more bucks, but I highly doubt this printer will last as long as the other one. Especially since we immediately ordered the aftermarket equivalent cartridges. Moral of the story: Don’t use aftermarket cartridges! Don’t hire people who want to save $2 per cartridge! Don’t buy girly paper if you want to look like a professional! Money saved on printer/printing supplies is money wasted on new inferior equipment and tarnished image/reputation.

My first Xerox product of any kind. Physically: nice design. Print quality is good. Printing function however is clunky – can’t print on a simple envelope through manual feed. Kept telling me it didn’t recognize the #10 Envelope I had in there. Shouldn’t be that hard to print on an envelope. Also, the error was only visible on the printer display not on the computer I was printing from. Scanning: again, great quality, liked the double sided scan. However, in this matter it is also not very flexible. You can’t scan directly into other programs like Adobe. You have to use their app and then can save as PDF or JPG. I expected more from Xerox. I’ve had Brother printers and MFP for over a decade and while they’re not perfect they are at least very functional and user friendly.

I print a lot of black/white and color copies each day and this product keeps up with my workload. Easy operation to scan to an email, make a simple copy or complex print jobs. If need a desktop printer that does all the functions a stand alone printer does….this one is it.

My previous printer took forever to print and the cost of operation was out of this world. With my new printer the WorkCentre 6515 by Xerox, my document printing is fast and I love the email, scan feature. I have to email quite a few documents to others throughout our office and with the scan email feature I can just place emails into the printer and scan then email. This feature has saved me so much time and effort. The printer and copy quality is excellent and I would recommend this printer to anyone. Also the cost of this printer was very low for all of the features and the quality of work it generates. All in all I am very happy with this product.

First impressions are very good. Air print works great. I haven’t done much setup other than getting it on the network, but so far it appears to work about like every other printer from an I.T. prospective. It is a good value for a low volume color printer where cost per page isn’t much of a factor.

Great printer that is not only a high quality printer in all respects, it is easy to setup, and is a great value for the price paid. You wouldn’t regret your decision to buy this printer.

Thought I would never use no other printer but Dell; however, HP was my next choice, after doing some research the specs on the WorkCentre 6515 moved my decision to this product. I’m very pleased with making this intelligent decision, and I’ve recommended this printer to other family members and friends.

The WorkCentre 6515 is a nice machine. I am just an older person and have a hard time with newer equipment. I am learning. I wish it was easier to access the paper versus envelope feature. I am also struggling scanning to my desk top sometimes I have to scan it two or three times before it appears on my desk top. One of these day’s I will look back on this leaning period and think “What a breeze why couldn’t you get it” I really haven’t had my WorkCentre 6515 for very long. So far I am okay with it. Definitely wish I had someone to come in and spend the whole day training.

I bought this printer for a single user. I didn’t realize it had to be connected to a network even though it can be connected with a USB cable. You cannot scan via USB. You also can’t scan from your desktop. Everything is controlled at the printer. If I had known this was the setup, I never would have bought it. The setup has been very difficult with our network and it is difficult to use. It is not intuitive or user friendly.

Has all the features we were searching for! Air printing and WiFi is spot On! The color laser ink is clean and quick! Display screen clean and easy control. Flash drive provided was able to print and Scan a necessary point for us. Looking for a printer this package is awesome! It is heavy but worth it!

Fairly easy to install. The description of the unit said it was Wi-Fi ready. However; you have to purchase the Wi-Fi adapter(somewhat misleading). Required additional purchase and delay in setup(?).

Adequate for home office use. Can be slow but if not producing volume it is fine. Like the ability to wirelessly print.

I love this printer so much that I’ve purchased three of them for home use. One for my office, one for my husband’s office, and one to keep on the shelf and use for parts in the future (because a new machine costs about the same as replacing all the drums). One of the things I love about it is the consumables. Because the dry ink (toner) and drums are separate, the ink is very reasonably priced – far less than printers where the drum and ink are in a single unit (for color, that means replacing five cartridges on a regular basis!). For printing and scanning to USB, it’s easy right out of the box. Other reviewers who complain about the complexity of scanning to PC or email are correct. It’s very difficult to set up – but this is not a problem unique to Xerox. It’s just the nature of Windows SMB fileshare architecture and email security. If you’re looking to do a lot of scanning, this might not be the machine for you. I use a USB flash drive to save my scans to and for the 1-2 times per month I require it, it’s a reasonable approach. The print quality is terrific and the speed is great. It’s a very powerful machine. We use one printer with USB and ethernet and the other printer with WiFi. Both were easy to set up and are easy to maintain. I’m not sure if Xerox is still making this machine, but I hope they are because it’s the best, most cost-effective printer I’ve ever owned. I’ve owned printers for 30 years at this point, so I think that’s a win. I’d recommend this to anyone looking to have a robust work from home or small office setup. It’s an outstanding MFP.
