Make sure your business has all the tools it needs with this WorkCentre 6515/DNI All-in-One Color Laser Printer from Xerox with printing, scanning, copying, and faxing capabilities. A very capable printer, it features a maximum resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi for sharp documents as well as impressive speeds of up to 30 ppm in simplex or 18 ppm in duplex. It also features a variety of methods for handling media, including a 250-sheet standard input tray and a 50-sheet bypass tray. Additionally, if connected to a network through the Ethernet port or the built-in Wi-Fi, users can even print remotely from their mobile devices.
Scanning, copying, and faxing are made possible through the implementation of an 8.5 x 11.7″ flatbed as well as the 50-sheet single-pass duplexing ADF that supports media up to 8.5 x 14″. This scanner unit features an optical resolution of 600 x 600 dpi and even has a built-in OCR for creating searchable documents. Along with these features, a color touchscreen is present for intuitive operation while a front USB port allows users to print from and scan to a portable storage device. Additionally, the printer comes equipped with a standard USB 3.0 interface for direct connection to a computer.

I ordered two of these to be sent to my home and the home of another staff member during the Spring 2020 COVID-19 stay-at-home order. These units probably saved my business. We were able to continue operations from our homes – printing, copying and scanning. Color and B&W. Single- and double-sided copies. Printing checks, labels, envelopes and photos on photo paper. This unit can do it all. I’ve only been using it for about 6 weeks, but it’s never jammed or missed a page when scanning.

The product has wonderful features and I love Xerox products, however I have had issues with this one since day one. While printing or making copies the paper never feeds or pulls from the paper tray or either it jams at the rear. It takes forever to print or copy because of this issue. I have called and Xerox has sent a new paper tray but it is still happening over a year later.

This is my first Xerox printer and I could not be more pleased. I have a Masters Degree in Computer Science with 35 year experience in large systems and database development. Now retired, I wanted a printer that was reliable, efficient, and delivered high print quality. The 8515 has exceeded my every expectation in all three of these areas. My model is the 8515DNI. The automatic document feeder supports single pass, two-sided scanning and the duplex printing is fast and exhibits precise registration front to back. Be aware this is NOT a small piece of equipment at 65 lbs and 19.7 by 16.5 by 19.9 inches (HWD), so you will need a substantial table. But, it is rock solid in operation. I highly recommend this printer.

Printer is very good. Found printing, copying, fax just fine. All is well. Blew through the initial toner quite fast. Problems I found are with the Windows driver. I initially set up scanning for TWAIN. Well Microsoft has apparently decided they don’t want to use this standard any more. A few years ago they settled on WIA, their standard. I called support. Spend about 1.5 hours. Although he was very good, the problem is not resolvable. A couple of items here. The driver fax out of computer without printing function is lost when you UPgrade the driver to the latest version. This also affects the fax directory. Also scanning into the computer is different. I used Adobe Acrobat to scan in. This does not work. I had to set up an alternate method forcing an IP address on the printer and computer (not DHCP). Create a shared folder. Scan into that folder. While this works, the scan function should work as I previously mentioned. This is all driver functionality and it is weak. The upgrade is even worse. There are several pieces of software installed with the driver seemlingly without any coordination or use. They can easily be consolidated. So while the physical printer is fine and the scan, print, fax functions all work. The driver and other software are weak and need to be fixed and upgraded beyond currently available software.

We always had HP printers — and we always had problems with them. Our IT consultant suggested the 6515 telling us that he was a Xerox fan and was pretty sure we would become Xerox fans too. I’ve had this printer in my office for over a year and I could not be happier. It is fast, the colors are good, it takes various kinds of paper, the ink (while a bit expensive) lasts a long time. The one time we needed service, the unit was fixed in a day. Overall, it’s the best printer for the money I’ve purchased in 20 years. I guess the best recommendation I can give you is that the reason for this review is I just purchased an additional one and I guess I got automatically pingged with a “would you like to leave a review” link. Anyway, I print 500-1,000 pages per month. One or two pages a day, then on some days dozens of multi-page color reports. I also use it for some graphic arts projects that need cover stock, thicker or textured paper or light cardboard. All good. Hope this helps.

phantom jams all the time, very finicky about what paper you use, constant errors, cant handle very many jobs at once, takes forever to wake up, hard to set up and use, not user friendly, uses ink super-fast, ink is crazy expensive. BUT print quality is good, when it works. I have never wanted to go all “office space” so badly on a printer before we got this one.

the printer came on time and was easy to set up (except for scanning which was not easy) the print quality is great, speed is fine and it is a nice looking box. the down side is the cost of replacement supplies which a look to be extremely expensive

built like a tank but after the first year of minimal use things started breaking. wont double side scan, wont link up to air printing reliably, cant scan large documents without going into warp speed and then jamming itself, scanning to an email is a job for a computer programmer apparently. other than that it is great.
