This printer is NOT designed or supported for home use. It’s Wifi feature is next to impossible to setup without a strong background or extensive research. It took me the better part of two days to get my wifi setup and now 2 months later it won’t connect at all. Xerox has gone to great lengths to make it near impossible to use aftermarket toner. Is is understandable that Xerox would want to sell toner for it machines BUT the prices they charge are crazy stupid. The machines are difficult to clean and professional services are as much as a new machine. Over the course of a several months, I was instrumental in the purchase of two machines, a 6510 and a 6515. I have thought more than once of throwing both in a dumpster and going with another brand. I certainly won’t buy or recommend anyone else buy another.

The printer is super fast. I love this Xerox 6515 for its speed and sharp printing. A few detractions are: 1. Scanning – I have yet to set up the scanning feature. The scan to desktop or scan to location is so jumbled. You have to follows steps to set up a shared folder and STMP. It should NOT be this hard. Xerox needs to update the software to handle this feature and function automatically versus the using having to following 5 pages of technical instructions only to have the scanning not work, STILL, when complete. 2. The send to email, like scanning to desktop, etc. makes no sense. Is nearly impossible to set this feature without technical knowledge of IP addresses and email setting by various provides. If not done properly, you are not informed until you try to scan to email email. You then get an error code on the screen and printout that you then have to google to find out what it means. The setup does not allow you to do a “test” of the setup during programming. I have not completed this feature setup up either as 2x of unsuccessfully trying to do so simply frustrated the issue. 3. The 6515 has a feature that prevents you from printing at all if you run out of color toner. There is supposed to be a “print in black only” feature. I have not found it and the online instructions for the 6515 “print in black only” really are NOT for this printer. There is NO work around. You are completely “down” until you are able to replace the missing color toner. Considering the speed and quick “first page out”, I am tolerating the 3 issues above. The printer does print VERY well, duplexes, performs wirelessly, and appears to work will non-OEM toner. I submitted a question via the online support feature and actually received a call from Xerox Support! THAT was unexpected and outstanding! The printer is great value for the price!

Beside some set up issues like to be able to print to your email, the printer is very user friendly. The process of setting up some of the features needs to be made simpler. Response time of the machine to input commands needs to be made faster.

Over the past 12 years, I have purchased 6 Multi-Function Printers, such as HP MF Printer, Xerox MF8560, Xerox MF6180, Canon MF9280, Samsung MF6265 and Xerox MF6515, so far the Xerox MF6515 is the best home use MF Printer I have ever purchased. The cost of this printer is reasonable and still it has most of other Xerox industrial MF Printers functionality kept in the home-based product level, for example the single trip double scanning capability which helped a lot for my home use.

The Xerox WorkCentre 6515 is a pretty useful tool to get loads of work done that requires printing. The only problem I have had with this is not being able to print through the Windows 10 wireless printing service. I have to resort to cloud printing each time. When it can print it works like a charm. It’s a color printer so it can give a decent color print when needed. It can also scan multiple documents and also do other tasks like scanning credit cards or documents with different materials. Now it is a xerox machine which means it’s pretty big so space is required for it, but if you have got that space then this machine is defiantly worth it. Just get used to only being able to use cloud print services only for wireless printing.

My only complaint is that it occasionally loses connection to my network, not sure if its my network or the device that’s causing the issue.

quality is as expected from this brand, the interface controls are a bit hard to get used to but overall a good product for our business

This printer surpasses any I have used. It’s not only reliable but intuitive. It is easy to understand yet can manage complex jobs and commands. I would outfit each classroom with it if I could!

It’s great. Only issue is the cost of toner/ink etc. Now that I’ve set up wireless printing even better

I upgraded my color printer to a printer, scanner, copier with this unit and am pretty satisfied. I haven’t figured out to do all of the small tweaks that I want, but I’m satisfied so far.

Great printer. No complaints other than Xerox toner is a bit expensive. Excellent build quality.

difficult to set up. Xerox tech support is worthless. would never buy another Xerox again.

Overall, the printing and copying have worked well. However, I do have a few complaints. 1) My machine gives off a high pitch squeal, and it is especially noticeable when it goes into sleep mode. Since this printer is right next to me, it’s very unpleasant. 2) For some reason, the printer makes me click “OK” to confirm what paper tray to use about 80% of the time I try to print something, even though the paper trays have not been touched. My Xerox 6510 just prints right away. This 6515 only does that occasionally, most of the time I need to get up and click OK on the screen in order for it to print. Overall, I don’t think I would get this particular printer again.

Prints great when you can make it work properly. From first day I have had problems. It will not scan to a PC without going thru a lot of hoops. My workaround is to scan to a USB drive and then move it to my PC. Anything else is a nightmare to get to work. Same goes for network connections; I’ve tried WiFi and wired connections, but it constantly disconnects and I have to restart the printer to connect it again. When it goes to sleep or power save, it will not come back without pressing the button. This makes it very difficult to print from another room or PC because you have to walk to the office to get it to wake up and print. The latest problem was the printer insisted on using some weird paper size. It showed normal 8.5×11 on the selection screen, but when I tried to print (from any PC) it claimed the printer was another size. I have to push “resume” on the printer to get it to actually print. I cleared this by doing a factory reset and having to set it up completely again. This is very annoying to say the least! I bought this printer to replace my old HP and honestly, I wish I still had my old one. It always worked, but didn’t scan. I should have just bought a scanner instead of this printer.

We’ve had this printer for some time, and the print quality is excellent, it is fast and quiet, and works well for copies and fax, but our only issue is the sheet feeder. It almost always fails to pickup a page, or it jams during the first few pages and must be opened and re fed.
