This screen protector is a bargain for the price! If applied carefully you will not get any huge/distracting bubbles. Avoid so called glare and smudge free screen protectors that tend to greatly reduce screen brightness and clarity. The screen is only slightly less slippery as iPad’s glass. Contains a very minor rainbow effect that is only mildly noticeable when the screen is off and under a focused light source like a light bulb(and at an angle). The light bulb reflection would annoy you before you could realize there is a slight rainbow effect, when viewed at a normal angle everything is perfect. NOTE: It Only protects from minor scratches and smudges. For heavy duty scratch protection with the feel of original iPad glass get the ArmorSuit MilitaryShield Apple iPad 4(works with iPad 2). 4 Stars for quality and price. Installation tip: To reduce the chance of dust particles getting trapped during installation, turn your bathroom shower on hot until it gets steamy and apply the touch screen. Use a credit card or wide piece of hard stock paper(e.g. like the packaging of the Apple Smart Cover) to press against the screen protector evenly to reduce bubbles. If misalignment occurs use a piece of tape to lift and realign.

The stiff screen cover is sandwiched between two, thin protective sheets. Each of the two protective sheets has a tab. To install, you gently pull the tab a couple of inches away from the protective sheet that covers the side of the stiff screen cover that will lie against the iPad’s screen. As you install the screen cover, you pull away the the protective sheet FROM UNDERNEATH, using a credit card to flatten it out as you go. Then you just lift the other tabbed protective sheet from the top of the screen cover. Once you’ve done that, it works just great. The packaged instructions are a bit imprecise.
