Description
This purple XYZprinting 1.75mm PLA Filament is a 600g spool designed for use with a selection of their 3D printers. PLA filaments are made with polymerized lactic acid, which is extracted from corn, sugarcane, or other sugar-containing crops. In addition to being environmentally friendly, PLA filaments also print at low temperatures, which greatly help to reduce the possibility of warping. This filament has an NFC chip.

This filament tends to break off and be difficult to remove from the printer. I tried contacting XYZ Printing, but they have very limited customer service and I have heard nothing back. The filament works fine when it doesn’t break.

I have not used the filament yet but I can say that B&H got it to me within reasonable time. I have read the site questions about whether some of these filaments are compatible with certain da Vinci printers. It appears that this is the correct configuration to be compatible with my Nano as it has the white center spool and chip.

It works as expected. Its a little frustrating that the xyz filament is more expensive than other brands due to the chip inside it, but that is not specific to just this product and definitely isnt B&H’s fault. Anyways it prints fine, its sort of a matte purple and not too loud of a color.
