Zep Concentrated Heavy-Duty Floor Stripper is a fast-acting and ammonia-free formula. This formula is Step 1 of the Zep 4-Step Pro Floor Maintenance System. Zep Floor Stripper can be used in scrubbing machines or with a traditional mop and bucket. Zep High-Traffic Floor Polish is step three and its 20% solid formula provides durable gloss and resistance to scuffs, heel marks, and slips. The low VOC (less than 1 %) formula ensures little floor maintenance. Formula works excellent as a concrete floor polish. Both floor cleaning liquids are perfect for use in offices, businesses and warehouses.

I’m stripping wax (and other stuff) built up over the last 16 years. I’m having to use a putty knife to remove the majority of the build up. The second time is getting almost all of the residual. For the condition of these floors, I’d say this product is doing an excellent job.

So this product does work but you must work a lot harder than the label would have you believe. I used this on a 20 yr. old linoleum floor with years of wax buildup. I also used towels and a brush instead of a mop. I did have to scrub over some sections two or three times and soak the area thoroughly. At times, I applied the solution directly to the area being cleaned as the recommended ratio was not strong enough to remove the wax. But once the floor was soaked and it was scrubbed and rinsed, the floor was spotless. I would recommend this product as it is effective.
