I am familiar with clay type absorbent such as Oil Dri, and when a bottle of car wash started leaking in my garage I was short of the product to absorb the sticky mess the spreading leak was making. I searched the website for absorbent and found this Zep product. I had the location texted to me and went to purchase it. When I got to the store and found the product it was so lightweight I felt it would not be very effective and it was as very small bag compared to the OilDri so I purchased 2 bags and went home to clean up the spreading mess. Boy was I surprised by this absorbent. I put a few handfuls into the spill and spread it around and let it do its thing. After a short period of time I swept it up to discover a totally dry, clean floor. Better than I have ever seen with any other absorbent. The 2 bags I bought will be around for a long time as you need so much less of this product to do the job. I would not hesitate for a second to reccomend this product. If it did this with a sticky, viscous spill it will work on any spill.

So far I have had no major spills thankfully, just normal spillage missed the drain container, when taking off oil filter oil change in driveway many know you are going to get oil on pavement, and the instant spill worked just fine , wife did not mention oil in driveway so good rating from me.

I originally bought this to absorb the liquid from latex paint cans so I could through them out with the garbage. It kind of worked but wasn’t happy. I also used it when my funnel tipped and spilled oil from my turkey pot on Thanksgiving. It worked great on that spill.

Great product but I’m sorry that I ordered it online instead of going to my neighborhood store (due to COVID-19).Shipped from 1200 miles away and packed with 70’ of paper to fill a box much larger than necessary. What a waste of money! Please, Home Depot, let’s be more green and deliver from local stores inventory. COVID-19 isn’t going away anytime soon. Neither green nor profitable. Additionally, I imagine there’s a management issue behind the expensive (wasteful) packaging (e.g., packages/hour metrics).

It was light, one of the key reasons for the purchase. It took the whole bag which was terrible, because I was hoping to have some left over incase of another disaster. Cat litter may be heavier but less was more.

i have sprinkled this on an old oil leak but have not swept it up yet. I was a little disappointed, I picked the bag, paid for it, took it home and the bag came apart. It had been open and taped shut, but I never noticed that. So, I had to clean the trunk of my wife’s car.
