This product left the floor shiny you could almost see yourself in it. Just like looking in a mirror. It took a lot of coats to get the desire shine, but it was worth it in the end.

I used this polish after stripping off a finish on a cement floor. It went on easily and dried in about 30 minutes like the directions said. Three coats were applied. It loses its high shine fairly quickly with foot traffic, but still looks great and provides a nice finish.

Used this on dull, worn stained concrete floors. Floor was 14 years old and probably never had any product applied since house was built. Product was easy to apply — just mopped it on one THIN coat at a time. Took about 15 minutes per coat to apply. Dried very quickly. Applied four coats and let it dry 30-45 minutes between coats. Wear gloves to keep product off your hands unless you want shiny hands. Used less than one gallon for about 900 square feet.

This worked great on our fireplace’s hearth. It had a horrible uneven dull look that made it look like it was constantly streaked with dirt. We had no idea how it was originally finished (it is concrete with some sort of finish to make it look like tile) , so we did not want to risk damaging it by trying to use an impregnating sealer. We did not use the prior steps in the system, just and strong degreaser to make sure it was clean. Then we buffed in the polish in 4 thin layers using a microfiber mop pad. You will not get streaks unless you go back over areas that have semi set (which only take 20 seconds or so) without enough polish on your applicator. You can fix streaks by immediately applying more polish, at least in our experience. I’ve include a picture for reference- the polish obviously did not fix discoloration from wear, but at least now it looks like CLEAN worn tile.

Put 5 coats on a very bad floor after stripping it. I had a buffing pad to make it shine but I checked on the floor 30X40 and the shine was perfect , so no wet buffing was needed. Zep recommends 30 minutes between coats but living in the deep south with high humidity I let it set an hour between coats.
