Zep Heavy-Duty Floor Stripper is Step 1 of the 4-Step Professional Floor Maintenance System. The formula can be used as a floor wax remover. Zep Heavy-Duty Floor Stripper removes acrylic finishes from floors in preparation for waxing. The concentrated, high alkaline, low foam formula can be applied with a mop or scrubbing machine. This product is fast-acting and ammonia free.

I purchased the product today to strip dirt, paint and built-up wax from my ceramic tile floor. I used a spray bottle and applied full strength. Let it sit for 20 minutes. I boiled hot water and poured on the floor. Instant results as i mopped up the stripper. Floor looks like new. I mopped again with hot water to remove any left over stripper. Purchased a 4- inch floor scraper for corners and along baseboards. The key for me was the boiling water with the powerful stripper. Dirt and wax buildup don’t have a chance. Highly recommended from tjis satisfied customer.

Was looking for a mild yet aggressive floor stripper for stone tile. ZEP is not recommended for natural stone!! The “recommended” stuff did not work effectively. So Zep was tried. Works reasonably well. For this application rinsing with water after stripping protocol and wet/dry vacuuming of solution. Did work but required multiple applications for desired results. Note: apply, wait, scrub, vacuum then rinse. Again this is not a recommended product for this application, TEST before doing this.

I read reviews stating how well this stripper worked. Well, unless you are young and are in great shape, I would not recommend. I went by the instructions, used hot water, with mop. I will never attempt to strip a floor again. This was no easy task. I should have used a stripping machine or better yet, paid someone to do the job. Mind you, I removed a lot of the was up, but I can still see some residue on the laminiate floor. Again, do not attempt to do this by mop, more trouble than what it is worth. I will research on renting a floor stripper machine, buffer or something or find someone who will do the job, once I have rested and my blood pressure goes back down. I am sure I will feel it in my back tomorrow.

It cleaned the concrete garage floor but did not remove the tire marks and oil stains. I vigorously scrapped the surface with hard brush without diluting it and still not much change.

Had gotten gunky build up on our laminate floors and nothing was taking it off. Carefully applied this floor stripper at the lower concentration and used a flat edge scraper. Was able to remove all the grime without any damage to the floors. After using the floor stripper and following up with thorough cleaning, applied Zep Floor Refinisher and our laminate floors look like new again!
