ZEP Heavy-Duty Floor Stripper is Step 1 of the 4-Step Professional Floor Maintenance System. The formula can be used as a floor wax remover. ZEP Heavy-Duty Floor Stripper removes acrylic finishes from floors in preparation for waxing. The concentrated, high alkaline, low foam formula can be applied with a mop or scrubbing machine. This product is fast-acting and ammonia free.

- For use on most types of interior floors including vinyl composition, rubber, asphalt-tile, terrazzo, concrete and no-wax tile
- Not for use on marble, natural stone or wood floors

I read reviews stating how well this stripper worked. Well, unless you are young and are in great shape, I would not recommend. I went by the instructions, used hot water, with mop. I will never attempt to strip a floor again. This was no easy task. I should have used a stripping machine or better yet, paid someone to do the job. Mind you, I removed a lot of the was up, but I can still see some residue on the laminiate floor. Again, do not attempt to do this by mop, more trouble than what it is worth. I will research on renting a floor stripper machine, buffer or something or find someone who will do the job, once I have rested and my blood pressure goes back down. I am sure I will feel it in my back tomorrow.

My kitchen floor has many years of wax build up. Zep helped remove it, but I had to help the Zep. I leave it on the floor for about 30 minutes, then scrub it with a concrete brush. But I had to finish the job using a razor blade to get it all up.

The stripper works well, but you need to let it sit as the directions say, for 8-10 minutes. And then work fast, because I found that it started to dry quickly after that. Be prepared with a scrub pad or a scraper, because although it does loosen the wax, you still need a LOT of elbow grease!!
