It took a couple of tries to learn how to correctly insert the blades but once that was done, I found this product superior to others I have. The blades are very, very sharp and slide very easily into and out of the cutting position for safety sake. We recently moved, so unpacking by a group of friends and relatives made the six-pack of the product very handy. The recycler we have locally requires that the corrugated cartons be cut into 2 x 2 ft. pieces and bundled before they will accept them. The very sharp blades make for easy cutting of even tri-wall corrugated container board, a time-saver. What surprised me is how long the blades stay sharp. I definitely recommend this product.

Keep in mind, these are inexpensive knives. I’m more familiar with more expensive models (both fixed and retractable). Also, I keep a few of the disposable plastic items around the house.There is a magnet to assist loading the blade. However, learning to load the thing the first time was frustrating. Right there is a reason not to buy it. Moving on, the blade was sharp, of course and stayed in place while cutting. However, the knife just feels “hollow” . A knife should feel good in the hand, and these certainly do not. As I have 12 of these knives and don’t really like them, I imagine once the blades dull, I’ll discard the complete unit in the recycling bin.
