I have over 28,000 files I like to back up to my hard drive daily and I use 3 4tb Passport external hard drives to back up quarterly. I keep these 3 drives after recording all backup data, in a safety deposit box in my bank. I have the standard small box. The 3 drives fit snuggly and perfectly standing on a side edge back to back and to the very back end of the box. PERFECT FIT! These files represent over 30 years of photos, videos, and data sheets accumulated over the years. I’ve replaced my computer 3 times over that period and this data is safe and off sight for emergencies.

grosses difficults d’installation et je ne peux pas l’utiliser car on me demande une cl d’activation que je ne trouve pas. Dommage

I plugged them in and mirrored my two internal 4TB 7200 rpm drives. Both worked flawlessly.

Had SO many photos & files and my computer & 2T were getting way too full. This has been an amazing addition.

A simple and smart way to protect files that I want and need to protect. Just plug it in and that’s it. Great amount of storage space for a really good price

It was difficult to set up to do periodic back-ups.

So far so good. I have always had good luck with WD external hard drives. Easy to use, easy to set up. I upsized because I filled the 2 TB drive and wanted a second external drive to back up photos

I figured I would try the white colored WD on for size, and it fits! I love being able to color code the WD drives so I can easily identify which one I have used for certain files. I love that I can plug this in, and it works flawless just like all my other WD drives! The drive is really fast, even when copying from another WD drive! It is small in size and fits in my pocket whenever I need to get up and go. Thank you for offering this great product! Downside…I am tempted to get one of every color!

I had this product for a long time, but recently (btw I’m on Xbox) it cuts my games on my terabyte away and I have to put the port in a new hdmi port and idk if u could fix it or is it time to get a new one.

Both WD My Book Drives failed within days of each other after 14+ years of hard use. Purchased the Passport drives because they were on sale and to reduce the total footprint and tangled wires. They so far have proved as reliable as the My Book Drives, after a month of hard use. Strongly recommend the purchase of these drives

High quality HDD from a trusted manufacturer (WD). Thanks.

Initially made a clicking noise when I hooked up to my PC. I thought, “Oh, no”. Windows pops up a messagebox indicating the drive isn’t recognized. Hmm… Unplug USB cable and try again. This time drive is recognized and the drive works fine. Since then the drive has worked without problems. I’m glad the WD drive is working OK as I refuse to use Seagate (IMO, crap).

Worked ONLY 15 months. I live in a foreign Country and had Time sensitive info needed from it. HAD to take to a certified Technician to find someway to retrieve this time sensitive materials. Told him whatever it takes which he was forced to open the casing….to no avail. LOST 23 years of Files, Photos. This is something I am aware of that voids the warranty. After numerous back and forth emails whomever was handling this complaint NOT a request, finally moved off the standard form answers and actually read the Complaint not Request.

I’ve purchased several WD External Drives over the years and they’ve all worked quite well. I just keep filling them up…

I recommend to everyone that it is not worth buying WD hard drives I am having bad experience with them, it is already the third that is damaged losing all my music to work. Right now I can’t work because I lost more than 4 GB of music.

I bought a brand new laptop and external hard drive at the same time last summer. I like listen to music and download to my drive. After downloading thousands of songs it quit working and now I can’t access any of my music.
